We are just going for 1 night and staying at the Polynesian. Wondering whether we should go to Kona Cafe or O'hana for dinner. We will have 4 adults and 3 children (2 toddlers and a 6 month old). Thanks!

Depends on what you are looking for - they are really two different types of restaurant. Kona has a "cafe" feel and the food is really first class. O'hana has a family restaurant feel to it and I think the food is not quite as good as Kona. I think that O'hana will provide a more "Disney" feel since it is themed and Kona is more of a straight-ahead place.

Check the menus on allearsnet.com to get a feel for what both places offer.

Kona Cafe and Ohana are both excellent choices, but very different experiences. I enjoy them both. Kona is more of a traditional restaurant, everyone orders off a menu while Ohana is kind of like a Brazilian steakhouse where they bring meats to the table on skewers. Some people might find the options at Ohana to be limited if one is not a fan of meat, while Kona has a menu that could accomodate virtually anyone. Ohana tends to be loud and crowded; Kona, while still popular is more low key.

It's one of our Fav's. The Kiluea Torte (sp) is an amazing "death by chocolate!"
The food in general is very good, and we prefer it to O'hana.
I think sjw4870 above nailed it.
