It's our first time staying at Poly. I have Ohana breakfast and Kona breakfast, should i do Ohana dinner or Kona dinner. I can't decide. What's your suggestion? Thanks.

Which menu appeals more? Do you want a dinner "experience" or a regular meal? I think both are good for different reasons.

I personally don't care for the all you can eat type places, so Ohana doesn't appeal to me as much. If you like that, then go for it. I personally would go with Kona though - or check out other monorail resorts like GF and CR.

Kona used to be my favorite, but they changed the menu a bit, so we went back to 'Ohana. There are so many good things in the 'Ohana meal that I can't imagine skipping it!

You could also get 'Ohana as room service because you are staying at the Poly. That is what we plan to do. We are having breakfast at both 'Ohana and Kona, but couldn't get an 'Ohana dinner reservation. Thank goodness for room service!

I like Ohana for the noodles and the bread pudding, but not much else. Potstickers and wings are ok. I would go to Ohana just for the bread pudding and noodles but I'm a carb lover with a sweet tooth. I think if you have to suit a wide variety of palates your best bet is Kona Cafe. Broader menu and more likelihood of everyone getting something that they want. If you are on the DDP that may change things slightly as buffets are typically a good bet for maximizing your DDP. Unless you order steak at every meal.

How does that work? Do they come to your room multiple times?

We used to eat at Kona for dinner every trip but the last few years just haven't impressed me. We haven't eaten at 'Ohana in many years but are returning there for dinner during this year's trip. I've heard both good things and bad things about 'Ohana but I'm excited to try it again.

Actually I have a question too --- do they serve the same bread and butter at 'Ohana that they serve at Kona?

Hi!

I believe it's the same. I do know they have really good bread at 'Ohana.

There's so much I like at 'Ohana - the sticky wings, noodles, potstickers, veggies...I'm usually full before they start bringing the meat out :)

I've been to Ohana 4 times and it is by far my favorite dinner experience in all of WDW ... so that is a huge YES from me!

Kona is great for breakfast, I've never done it for dinner though. We have such good Ohana experiences that I'm hesitant to tear myself away lol

I think it's about $40 per person and they just bring you one big tray of food. From a few pictures I've seen it seems like it is plenty. Though I love everything at Ohana!!
