We're 80 days away from our trip and I'm making dining reservations (ddp). We went last year so I'm trying to get to some new places this year. It's me, hubby and 5yr old daughter.

On our Magic Kingdom days, we want to take the monorail to eat at some new restaurants.

If you had to pick one for dinner, would you do Ohana or Kona?

What about the Concourse Steakhouse?

All the menus look SO yummy.

Thanks!!!

My husband and I prefer Kona by a mile. I find their food to be vastly superior to Ohana...Ohana is somewhat of a gorge-fest (meat, meat, and more meat) and this just isn't what I enjoy. I really hate how they serve the food at Ohana as well....the whole experience is a little too chaotic for me. However, your daughter might really enjoy the activities at Ohana, so that is something to think about. The Concourse Steakhouse is good, but not as good as other 1 table credit WDW steakhouses, such as Le Cellier (IMO of course).

Agree with all your thoughts except Concourse. It was 1000x better than LeCellier when we went, much better steak service and atmosphere. I do agree about Kona food quality, 'Ohana lack of food quality, but the atmosphere may be more enjoyable for your daughter.

All of these places are great. I'd rate them Kona (1), Concourse (2) and Ohana (3). With a young child, I might opt for Ohana because of the entertainment. Kona and Concourse are great for lunch, because you get out of the parks when it is very hot and they are not crowded at lunch. We have ressies at all three for our trip in August.

IMO, definitely 'Ohana. :thumbsup2 Kona is nice too, but it's a cafe with cafe style food. 'Ohana is a little more exciting with the meat skewers, shrimp, etc.

Sorry but I TOTALLY disagree with your assessment of Kona's food. They have an excellent teriyaki steak entree (not "cafe" food), not to mention filet mignon, prime rib, mahi mahi, shrimp, scallops. I could go on and on. The meat is much higher quality than that served at Ohana (IMO of course). Definitely not "cafe" food, regardless of their name.

I took my son to The Concourse Steakhouse for his 12th b-day. We enjoyed it so much we went back a year later for his 13th b-day. I like it better than Le Cellier because the food is like the food I cook at home where LeCellier is more fancy food stuff.
OHana's was fun and the food was pretty good.

Some may not like Ohana but we love it. The food is excellent. On our last visit we were served some rather well done steak. I just told the waiter and in seconds we had some perfectly cooked steak. It's a fun place. Great for families.

Out next trip we will be eating at all 3 so I'll have a better comparison then!

Here are my thoughts on all 3:

Ohana: Nice atmosphere, fun activities for kids (if your child is interested in joining, if not, it can be stressful), food is not very varied...all I remember is it being MEAT, MEAT, MEAT!

Kona: Nice enough menu and good food, but very crammed in there. To me it was almost more of a breakfast restaurant.

Concourse Steakhouse: My DH's new favorite WDW restaurant. The table was HUGE and there were only 3 of us. It wasn't terribly crowded, and the food was excellent. It doesn't hurt watching the monorail zoom in and out also.

My personal pick would be 1) Concourse Steakhouse, 2) Ohana, 3)Kona
