Ohana or Garden Grill

I'm planning on going to Epcot one day and I'm trying to figure out if I should take my family (DW, DS2, DS5) to Ohana for an 11:20 or Garden Grill at 8:50.

I'd prefer a later Garden Grill reservation so it's not during prime park hours, but it's not currently an option! It should be EMH that day, so we'd potentially have about 45 minutes after rope drop to make it to Frozen Ever After (Soarin and Test Track maybe after with DS5 - but DS2 is too small for those).

Thanks for any thoughts!

If you plan to be at EPCOT all day, it seems very inefficient to travel to Ohana for lunch, then return to EPCOT. You would need to allow 60-90 minutes for Disney transportation going to and from the Polynesian. I would recommend Garden Grill.

I would choose Garden Grill. As the PP said, you are going to waste a lot of precious park time traveling back and forth to the Poly. Unless your kids are really into Lilo and Stitch, I think they might prefer Garden Grill over 'Ohana. The classic Disney characters in the Garden Grill atmosphere is kind of fun, plus the restaurant slowly rotates and that seems to entertain little ones.

I agree with PP. Going to Poly will really cut into your park time.

I, personally, wouldn't want to RD FEA and then walk all the way back to Garden Grill. I don't even think you would make it. Can you FP+ FEA for later in the day? If so, why not RD Soarin" and then go right to GG breakfast? If you have to RD FEA because you can't get FP+, I would keep looking for a later GG. Or consider a late breakfast at Cape May which is much closer than going to Poly.

Thanks for the comments! We're just doing a quick morning at Epcot, then taking a break back at our resort (CBR). I have FP+ already set for rides in the afternoon at AK (Expedition Everest, FOP, Finding Nemo).

I would go with GG. They have a great breakfast and you get lots of character interaction.

Have a great trip!

I would eat at Garden Grill since you will be at Epcot that day. You are going to loose a lot of park time traveling to the Poly and back!

Since you want a quick morning in Epcot I'd go with Ohana. IF it's an EMH morning, you'll have about 2.5 hours in the park. During the least crowded time of the day. Plus, the kids get a monorail ride.
