I'm thinking of adding a character breakfeast. Which do you all prefer food wise? Also which characters seem to be regularly at each place. We are not big stitch fans, but it wouldn't bother us to see them. Is it just the 2 (lilo and Stitch) at Ohana's or are there others as well?

Cpae May looks like it has more food options, but again, if the food is better at Ohana's we can go there too. It does apear to be easier to get to Ohana's, but we can work it out, if we dod decide to do one.

Haven't been to Ohanas but Cape May character breakfast is great and the food is awesome.

Been to both meals and my choice would be Cape May Cafe. The characters at Ohana are Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey in hawaiin clothes. The characters at Cape May are Goofy, Minnie and Donald in beach attire. The breakfast at Ohana is a sit down meal, they serve you a platter with scrambled eggs, link sausage, bacon, potatoes, melons and danish. Cape May cafe offers a large buffet.

I wasn't impressed by the food at Ohanas. Not much variety and not great tasting. I would pick a buffet where you can get a wide selection of hot foods, pastry/danish, cereals/yogart and fruits. I thought the atmosphere at cape may was more colorful and festive.

Both character meals are good to try out once, but I would pick Cape May to go to again and again.

I completely agree - O'hana didn't impress us - Cape May we go back every trip!

OK, know I'm going to test your knowledge. LOL! :lmao:
What would be the best way to get there from Pop? I know it's at the beach resort, right? But never been there. I assume I need to go to one of the parks and transfer over.

Ok, I booked Cape May. 10:50. So this shouldn't be much longer than an hour right? I can't remember how long our buffets have taken in the past. DD has to be at GF for the wonderland tea party by 1:15 ish. They serve lunch there, but if I know her, she'll either not eat much or any breakfeast, or any lunch. LOL! She's going for the fun to each place. LOL!
I assume we should be put by 12 or so, Go back to POP, and DH can go do what ever or nap, and her and I can head over / transfer to the tea party. It should be plenty of time right? Or DD and I could take the bus to MK and get the boat to GF.
I'm probably over extending ourselves. I tend to do that.! LOL!

If you go to EPCOT you can walk thru to the back entrance between England and the bridge to France and the beach club is a lovely walk from there, or if you can get a bus to Boardwalk then its on the other side of the water.

I won't have to go in the park will I? We don't have hoppers, and we are doing Ak in the afternoon.

I just realized though we will have a rental car there, so maybe it will be just as easy to drive.

Since it's a buffet, you can eat and run quickly or stay longer and linger. About an hour is a good amount of time to budget. Time enough to eat, meet the characters, pay your bill.

Since you have a rental car and need to get to GF on a tight schedule, I would drive there.

Your best bet would be to drive - come out of Pop Century take a left at the light - go to the 3rd light I believe you will pass the Hess gas station on the right, then the Boardwalk on your right - the next light - you take a right you will see the swan/dolphin hotels and the fantasia golf course will be on your left after you turn. Beach club is about 1/2 - 3/4 miles down on the right, just follow the large overhead purple signs they will get you there.

Have a great time.

I am so glad to here the good reports about the Cape May breakfast. I just booked this a few minutes ago. We already had 2 character meals (1 princess and the Donald Breakfast at AK) and wanted to get 1 more in for our 10 day trip. We are staying at WL, and this will be a nonpark day (we too don't have park hoppers), does anyone know if there is a bus that goes to the boardwalk from WL or do we have to take a bus to DTD and then got on another one to Beach Club? Our ADR is for 10:05am. Thanks.

no buses go from resort to resort, I believe, so you will have to go somewhere and transfer. You could just go to MK and switch over.

hey, we went to the Cape May Cafe breakfast last year and my kids loved it! we are planning to go again when we go in May. The characters are great, they really spent a lot of time with the kids and the food is great also!! Your daughter will love it!

We've never done Ohanas since they changed it to Stitch--we aren't fans at all (annoying wake-up call makes me use my cell phone as my alarm!). We liked it when it was Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Chip and Dale and was a buffet. We did Cape May this year and, although not our favorite character meal, it was good. We loved having a chance to see Minnie and Goofy and Chip and Dale. They dropped Chip & Dale shortly after our visit and added Donald. The only problem is we went kind of late and it seemed that they weren't bringing out as many replenishments of some of the food. But we'll probably go back in a year or two (we always do Crystal Palace--it is our favorite).

We Love Ohanas and have eaten there every year for
3 years going on a 4th--I really like that it's not a Buffet (served family style-
so I can relax and enjoy my breakfast) and no other guest has
touched ore breathed on my food.
I also like the Hawaiian atmosphere of Ohanas.
Lilo, Stitch (he doesn't talk), Mickey and Pluto are all fun.
The Juice is excellent, there are mickey belgian waffles,
Pineapple-honeydew-canalope-watermellon-fruit plate,
Thick breakfast potatoes, Bacon, Sausage, pineapple bread,
fresh baked biscuts. Plus I like that Ohanas is located in the
Poly so that I can hop on the monorail and go to either
MK or Epcot very easy after eating. It's also easy to get to by taking
a bus to MK from your WDW Resort and hop on the monorail
to get to Poly.

Hi, We're staying at YC the sister resort to BC. From what I've been told if you don't have a car, the best way to get to YC/BC from other resorts is to take the bus to DHS and then walk over or take the boat (the reverse is also true). No park entry needed. The walk from DHS to YC/BC is about 15/20 minutes depending upon how fast you walk. The boat ride is about 20 minutes and you can wait a while for a boat. My cousin said that it was a short enough walk that after Fantasmic her DD, then 6, did cartwheels the entire way back to the room.
