Planning our trip for June 2012. Looking for TS dinner for one of our MK days. Not too interested in any of the options in the park so looking at the nearby resorts. We've done 1900 PF (bkfst & dinner) and doing Chef Mickey's for bkfst this trip. Ohana caught my attention. I know you MIGHT be able to see the fireworks but have also read suggestions of watching them from the beach. I like the sound of this. I can get a resv at 6:50 or 7:50. What do you think? If we do the 6:50 I think we would be finished and could get to the beach but does it get crowded and hard to find a spot (not very familiar with the Poly layout, etc.) If we take the 7:50 we would likely still be in the restaurant and if we didn't have a table by a window wouldn't see anything, correct? OR--do we skip the whole thing & look for something else??? Reading mixed reviews + the $$$ makes me wonder if it's worth it. We're hoping for free dining but if going OOP we would definitley skip this one. TIA!

ohana is a wonderful restraunt and almost all of the tables have a great view for the fireworks. they even dim the lights and play the narration and music.

Another choice would be to take the boat over to the
Wilderness Lodge to Whispering Canyon. This is a place my DD loves.

We leave for Disney in 27 days.. This will be our first time trying Ohana, so unfortunately I can't offer any advice on the goods.... BUT, I have been to Whispering Canyon, at the Wilderness Lodge, YUM, YUM, YUM... Highly recommended! :thumbsup2

Had 8:20 ADR in October saw EWP and fireworks great show.

If you go the beach route, our experience was that it wasn't very crowded at all. We were staying there and swimming and were able to grab seats on the beach right when it started.

I hadn't even thought about the EWP!!! What time is that? Would we see that from the same beach spot as we would go for the fireworks? I'm thinking it would be more exciting to see these from a beach outside than thru a restaurant window...but having never been there I could be wrong. Still wondering about the best time though...6:50 or 7:50??? Wishes is scheduled for 10:00. Does this mean the EWP won't start until after that? Other info I read said the EWP would start approx 7-20 mins. after Wishes, but that was when Wishes is scheduled for 9:00. Now I'm thinking the 7:50 resv sounds better for the timing, but not too sure about eating dinner that late. decisions, decisions...
