I have made most of our ADRs for our September trip, but need to choose one more place for a late dinner. We are not on the DDP, but we do have a DDE card. The three that I've narrowed it down to are 'Ohana, Narcoosee's or Citricos. We have never eaten at any of these restaurants, so I really have no idea what they are like other than what I've read on the menus and reviews. My DH & 15 yr. old DD are very picky, and don't like lots of sauces and exotic foods. On the other hand, myself & 17 yr. old DD will try almost anything! Based on atmosphere, food quality and price, which of these would you recommend and why? Thanks for any info you can provide!

Of the 3, go with the middle! Narcoosees is very nice, very expensive.

OHana's is fun, casual. All of their food is open fire grilled. Turkey, pork, shrimp. You really need the sauces to make it taste anything above average. As you stated 2 of 4 in your party do not like that. I dont believe they have an A la carte menu...take it or leave it!!

Citricos food is excellent, atmosphere quiet, a tad above casual. Would be nice to have a quieter dinner considering your kids are older. Has a nice variety of everything meat/fish/poultry and Im sure they can accomodate a special request (no sauce, extra sauce, no salt etc...)

Narcoosees is a tiny step above Citricos in terms of atmosphere, but that is about it. I prefer paying for food, not atmosphere!

Good luck!

We went to Narcoossee's in April and loved it. Unfortunately we won't make it there this next trip. The service was great, the food was to die for. Nothing bad to say whatsoever.

We are going to try O'Hana for dinner this next trip. We did it for breakfast last trip and loved it. Plus we love the Poly.

We went to Narcoosees last year and had a great dinner. They were happy to make special requests that weren't on the menu. My DD got the kids filet plus some mac and cheese because she couldn't make up her mind. My DH was able to get the surf and turf with scallops instead of lobster tail. We haven't tried Citricos or O'Hana yet but O'Hana has a set menu so that doesn't seem like a great place for picky eaters.

I wouldn't reccomend Ohanas. Its ok if you're on the DDP but its nothing special and I'd regret paying for it given the other options. Narcooses' is amazing food, amazing service and great views of the lagoon. On the DDP the value is awesome, even at two credits, the full lobster is to die for. I think you're getting what you pay for in every way there from food to service and atmosphere. That'd be my pick over Citricos slightly and way over Ohanas. But, you're not on the DDP so you really have to decide what price point you want to go in at. I'd reccomend if you want the ohana price point, go somewhere else, and then just pick what you can afford between narc's and citros, both are great, personal preference about whats on the menu may be a good deciding factor.

Have fun!

I've never eaten at any of them, but didn't you say you were going in September (same time as free dining?) and that you don't yet have an ADR? From what I hear Ohana is pretty well booked up. Maybe that could rule out Ohana.

I think the other two sound much better anyway.

Yes, we are going in September, but not using DDP. I have all of my ADRs except for that one, so that's a good point - 'Ohana would probably be booked up by now. I'll call tomorrow and see if there's anything available at the other two. Thanks for all the info everyone!

We can't get into Narcoossees in mid-September. Availability seems very tight, We're a party of five though.

We're trying Citricos, as a consequence. We've never eaten at Citricos before but we like both Narcoossees and 'Ohana. As others have mentioned, 'Ohana, as a family style restaurant might not have the variety your picky eaters need. Have you looked at their menus either here at the dis or at allearsnet.com?

Citrico's and Narcoosees are both great-atmosphere can be debated depending on what is important to you. Personally I think Citrico's food is a touch better than Narcoosees, but we are fans of both. As for Ohana's, if ou have never been, then definitely try it once, but it would not be a dining pick for me.

Yes Jen, I've looked at the menus, and both places look wonderful! That's why I'm having such a hard time deciding. I guess I'll just call and see what, if anything is available and go from there.

At this point, I'd go with the one with availability. I would doubt 'Ohana will be open - and I wouldn't choose it above a signature spot anyways.

Have eaten at Citricos and was very impressed by it. Excellent food and service. I don't think you can go wrong between it and Narcoossees, personally but you may have to go with what is open at this point.

After being to ohanas a couple times, I have no idea why it books up. There is lots of food, its all average. Boma is a lot better, its in the same league as narcooses and citros and half the price.

Narcoossee's has great seafood. Loved it there. Citricos I had a great steak there loved it there. It really depends what kind of food you want to eat. Both I highly recommed.

We have ADRs in Sept. for Narcoossee's and all the great reviews are getting me excited! :yay:

Go for 'Ohana. There's good food for all, and for the picky eaters there are common sauces - sweet & sour, etc as well as chimichurri sauce which is excellent!

I went back in May and am going again on August 31st. Cant wait!!!

Of the 3 ive only been to Narcoossees but it's the only 1 of the 3 I plan on going to on honeymoon! Now normally I try to do different places each trip but this was the one meal we both insisted had to be done again. :thumbsup2
