We were thinking of hitting O'hana on our arrival date and of course, the only time available is 9:50pm. That suits us since it will allow us to arrive, get settled and then head over there without having to rush too much.

Do you think it's going to suck being so close to closing time? It will be a thursday night.. so not even the advantage of being a weekend night.

I'd just hate for our first meal to be a crappy one.. not to mention, my kids (10,10,12,17) were hoping for the super fun experience I've been reading so much about. I bet that's not going to be happening that late at night either, right?

What do you guys think?

(I accidentally posted this on the "reviews" page so please ignore that one!)

To eat there at almost 10pm is probably not the best idea for your tummy. It's a lot of meat, and it'll probably make for a pretty uncomfortable evening/sleep.

My arrival days I generally just do a QS meal and so that I can enjoy my TS meals when I'm well rested and haven't been travelling much of the day, but that's just what I find works for me.

We've had some great experiences eating that late (which included a shrimp eating contest) but we were all adults on the trip. I'm not sure it will work well with all the kids especially since starting the meal that late will probably mean you won't be out of there before midnight. It's also a much quieter meal since I am pretty sure the "entertainment" is already gone or just leaving

We were the last table seated last time we went. It was the BEST service we have ever gotten at WDW! They were still doing the songs and such, and there was no decline in the quality of the food (they even filled a special request for my son). We expected to be rushed but absolutely were not. The kids were hyped as we had been in the car all day, and DH and I were happy to eat something other than fast food after the car trip.
I hope you have a great time!

We've eaten at Ohana probably close to 15 times. Two of those times were late ressies, 9:30ish, and all of the fun children's activities were done for the night for both of those meals. I asked about it both times and received the same answer. The fun kid's activities typically ends around 9ish, that's what we were told both times. Maybe during certain times of the year they may continue the fun till later, but that's not been our experience. My kids were bummed, but the food was still delicious. Late Ohana is better than no Ohana.

We prefer the last ADRs in June. I honestly can say the food we have had at the later ones is wonderful (seemed fresher than when we had a 5:00 pm ADR at opening). I have had the 9:50 ADR and it was great. The restaurant seems quieter even though all tables were still full. We were able to watch Wishes (it was at 10). Like others said, the entertainment does stop around 9/9:30 so the kids might be disappointed.
