I have a large group of adults at WDW for a convention. Wanted to eat at the California Grill and then watch the fireworks from there but could not get the entire group in at a single time. Also tried Artist Point and Jiko but they only take large groups (we have 18) at the very early times. They suggested Ohana so I made that PS for 6:30. Thought we could eat and then walk down to the beach or take the monorail to the contemporary to watch the MK fireworks at 8:45. The Ohana menu sounds good for our group my only concern is that the kids races/games will be too distracting. This is a pretty informal group but we don't want to be dominated by kids activities either. What do you think?

DH and I went in December and honestly didn't even notice the kids except for peripherally. We were too busy gorging ourselves on the food! The restaurant was fairly crowded and we had a nice table along the wall where we could see the castle out the window. I don't think the games being played will be a bother; DH and I definitely weren't the only adults-only table there.

We were there in May with family and our 4 yr old dd. We were seated toward the window area that faces the castle back behind the big fireplace where they cook everything actually away from the kid's activities. DD barely noticed what was going on.

The kids activities took place further down to the left of the restaurant. We could barely see what was going on. This is a very hustle bustle place. It was also a Saturday night when we were there and it was very busy (could tell by the slow service). Apart from it being fairly noisey it should be fine for an informal adult meal especially with a large group.

Ohana is our favorite restaurant in WDW! This year will be the first year we've taken kids and we've never been bothered by them. Last time, we had a fairly early dinner, then walked down to their white sand beach, lounged in a hammock and watched the sun go down. We were supposed to be able to see the Electrical Water Pageant (which in May started at 9 p.m) but it was cancelled that night. It was still very wonderful and we could see some of the fireworks, too.

O'hanas is excellent. We ate there on our honeymoon and LOVED IT! It didn't bother us, but we definitely noticed all the kids...I even got hit a couple of times with a hula hoop. But, we were at a table that bordered the pathway where they were having the hula hoop contests and coconut broom races. You might ask to be seated near the windows or in a more secluded part of the restaurant, especially if there is any kind of work to be done at this dinner.

Ohana means family in hawaiian. I always enjoy watching the younger ones having a good time. Not sure if I 'd like being hit with the hula hoop---but if they were entertaining I'd let it slip. Hopw you have a good meal with great entertainment.---Aloha

DH and I (no kids) at at O'hana a couple of weeks ago. IT IS GREAT!! I think it's my new favorite restaurant! The coconut races and the hula hoop races didn't bother us at all...it was actually funny watching the kids. We were seated by the window and we watched the water parade from our table. After our meal, we some how managed to waddle out to the Poly beach to watch the MK fireworks. It was great. :)
