I've never been to 'Ohana, so I'm hoping some of your experts can help me out. I'm planning my September honeymoon, and my fiancee would love the menu at 'Ohana. All-you-can-eat meat is right up his alley, especially when it is followed by bread pudding :thumbsup2: I know there will be lots of kids dining, but do just couples ever go there? I thought we could eat, and then watch Wishes from the beach. Good idea?

Definately do it without kids. The food is fabulous and there are tables for two :)

We were just there last week and we don't have any kids. We loved this meal! Ohana and Narcossee's were the best meals of our week. I did not expect to enjoy the food but went because DH and DD18 wanted to try it. I was very pleasantly suprised and we liked it so much it will be a "must do" in Sept!

We always do 'Ohana without kiddos. It's great. Try to make reservations for the same time as Wishes fireworks (usually around 9pm in September), then request a window table when you check in at the podium. So romantic! :-)

Yes- GO!!
We had our Vow renewal dinner there with 12 other adults no kids
Everyone raved about iit

DH and I did it, we had a great time...we had a 6:30 pm ressie but we were not seated until 7:15 and we sat along the windows that are over Capt Cooks...very quiet since we were not in the middle of the dance floor area. The food was awesome, service was not rushed at all.

Had a great time, cannot wait to eat there again

This is our favorite restaurant in the world (the ENTIRE world!) and we don't have kids. You will absolutely love it! :goodvibes

Definately go. I wouldn't go expecting a quiet dinner, but it's great fun and great food.

The kids pushing coconuts around with brooms provide all the entertainment you need :rotfl2:

I agree- go!
We went in March with our family which included DGS age 6.
DH has already said- when we go back next time alone, he wants to go there again just the two of us. :)
You will enjoy it!
(you could ask for a table away from the action)

Thanks everyone --- I will make it a definite in my plans. We'll probably need a wheelbarrow to get my fiancee out of there! I'm really looking forward to it.

Just be prepared for the MC shouting, children's parade, coconut races, etc etc.
You'll be glad to GET out and go to the beach!!
Should add that there are some tables that are mercifully located somewhat away from the carryings on--that lessens the misery a bit.

I asked on another thread if someone has gone solo since I will be doing a solo trip this year and the replies were yes. I like the appetizer parts so all they have to do is put me in a corner with the bowls and I am good to go. lol.

I've been there with my mother and we like it. It will be noisy and there will be tons of kids, so if you're looking for quiet don't do it. It's great fun to watch though. Looking to go with a group of friends in October maybe - no kids. If I were going solo I think I'd stick with Tambu Lounge personally - they have a good appetizer menu.
