I plan to book Ohana for a dinner on our upcoming October trip. I also want to do Kona for a breakfast one day, but thinking about Ohana also for breakfast on another day(we are staying at Poly). If we are doing Ohana for dinner and Kona for breakfast, is there a point to also doing Ohana for breakfast? Is the breakfast there really good?

We love the breakfast there - and then there's Stitch! :)

Oh well in that case. LOL. I still enjoy breakfast there. Its a must for us every trip :)

Oh and my kids don't care about Lilo and Stitch if this would be a factor.

If your kids dont care for the characters, quite honestly i'd skip ohana breakfast. Kona is great, and since you already have an ADR there, I wouldnt bother with Ohana breakfast. I love the place, dont get me wrong. But if your fam isnt into the characters then there's just no point. :) Save your money for other things.

If you're staying at Poly, Ohana breakfast is a good option on a day you don't have to be anywhere fast or have minimal plans. We'll sometimes eat there on a resort day. It's a nice setting and the view of the sunrise over the 7SL is great way to start the day.

The only real point of eating there is the characters for the kids, the breakfast itself is standard Disney stuff. Nothing special.

I do like how it's a relatively quick charachter meal. It's a no nonsense, here's your food, here are the charachters, now carry-on with your day kind of setup.

If you really just want the food, stick with Kona.

The breakfast is pretty basic. The point of it is the character meet and greets, really.

We didn't love our breakfast at 'Ohana. The food was dry and not terribly appetizing. If the characters don't matter, I'd skip it and just go with Kona. We loved our breakfast at Kona and I wished we'd booked more than one!!

We did both Dinner and Breakfast last March and enjoyed both. We decided to do a "later" breakfast, so we were at MK at rope drop and did several rides before our 10:45am ADR. We were able to eat and relax as the crowd at Ohana was thinning out. Had great service and fun with the characters (my kids were 14 and 10). Staying at the resort, you can enjoy multiple meals there, or you may want to jump over to Contemporary and try "the Wave" for breakfast too.

If you don't care about the characters at 'Ohana breakfast I would do something else instead as others have mentioned like eat at The Wave or Cape May, etc. or use the money for something else like the express park to park bus.

The characters are fun, but we didn't care for the food. Very little variety and everything was dry and overcooked. Even if it was an off day for the kitchen there just wasn't anything special. Eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, Mickey waffles, fruit and fruit breads. I might be missing something but it's rather generic IMO.

Yes. Kona and Ohana are completely different ding experiences and if you are staying at the Poly, it is great to not have to go far for a breakfast! Sleep a little longer and go to both!

Ohana is my favorite dinner restaurant, but the breakfast is just average. If not interested in the characters, it may not be worth the cost. Though if you're staying at the Poly, you may like it just for the convenience factor...

I agree with the others. If you aren't interested in the characters, breakfast at O'hana is not worth the cost. The food is average and overly salty. You'd be better off eating at Capt. Cook's or ordering room service!

I loved breakfast at 'Ohana but if you don't care about characters you are overpaying. IF you want a similar skillet go to whispering canyon. Unless your time is worth the $10+ difference per adult. then go to 'Ohana.

you are definitely not better off ordering room service. I did both ('Ohana and Poly Room service) and 'Ohana was MUCH better.
