Hello,
Taking the family to O'hana for the character breakfast. I was curious if people liked it and if the food was what you usually see at other WDW breakfast buffets?
Thanks Kerry

It's not a buffet. It's served family-style on a platter. You will get a couple of kinds of bread/sweet rolls, fresh fruit, and a platter with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and biscuits, and Mickey waffles. It's all you can eat so if you run out on your platter just ask for more. The food is very good and it's great character interaction!

We were just there 2 weeks ago! Loved it! Food was really good, they bring it all to you
Characters were great, it was Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch, and they did a little musical parade with the characters and all the kids
I highly recommend it :thumbsup2

It was very good and has some difference but the bread and rolls so good. we really enjoyed it:dance3:

The food was fresh and hot beacuse it was family style. The breakfast breads and juice was the highlight for us. We enjoyed it so much we are planning to eat there again in Dec.

We've been a couple times and enjoyed it each time! Great food and great character interaction!!

The juice is amaaaaazing.... I would go back just for it. Otherwise, just typical breakfast stuff but very nice and hot. Scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, mickey waffles, fruit. Nothing gourmet by any means, but great atmosphere and nice comforting food. A must do for each family at least once.

Characters were also great, but I think we got some extra attention because DD had a Lilo dress on and DS had a Stitch shirt.

My family and I are going to this in June. I am glad to hear the food is good because to be honest originally we were just going for the characters because my dad is a huge Stitch fan.

I don't mean to be negative but I thought it was the most overpriced meal of our last trip. It was not bad but I didn't think it was worth it.

Hey there KC26!

I am sorry but I am going to have to contribute to the negativity here! My family and I did O'hana for breakfast a couple years ago and we were sooo disappointed with it!

First, let me say that there is always the chance of a bad experience anywhere you may go and it might just have been an off day for that place but sometimes all it takes is one bad time.

When we went there we found the staff to be very inattentive and the food to be ill prepared as the eggs were very runny and the bacon was very chewy. The characters were okay but for the price the four of us paid it was so not worth it.

My advice is to skip O'hana for breakfast and do the O'hana dinner which is light years better! (Check my previous O'hana dinner sermons ;-) for more ) If you're in need of a breakfast I'd like to suggest either Akershus in Norway in Epcot or Cape May Cafe at the Y&B Club as both are EXCELLENT character experiences!!!

Hope it helps!

Ohana is our favorite breakfast! We love the fact that it's NOT a buffet. The food has always been hot and fresh. The juice is delicious and the sweet breads are great, too. I also love the character interaction, we've had great experiences with the characters there compared to other character meals.

We had a not so good experience too last year.

We were a party of 7.

We were escorted to our table and didnt even get a chance to sit down- and there was pluto. So we had to hurry and get cameras out and autograph books etc. (i think the handler shoulda went to the other table and came back but was told they cant do that.)

Stich, Lilo and Mickey were one right after another. It was really stressful and didnt have a chance to sit and gather thoughts.

By the time the last character passed-- breakfast was already on the table- cold.

The whole experience woulda been fabulous if we had a chance to get in the seats BEFORE the characters all came out.
The waitress should have held the food until we were in the seats.
