Does anyone know if the entertainer is still the same lady who has been there for years? I seem to recall reading that she is no longer at 'Ohana's for dinner and that a new male entertainer has taken her place.

Her name is Lipoa and she is amazing! I just saw her on June 3rd and again, she made my night! She's been there a long time!

It rotates from night to night so you could either have the lady or the guy (Sorry, don't know the guy's name).

You may have read that Lipoa was suspended some time ago after a complaint from a guest but the complaint was deemed to be unfounded and she is back at 'Ohana, rotating with the male entertainer whose name I forget.

Apparently the guy who used to play guitar and do Don Ho imitations in the bar area wasn't renewed though.

I saw her in Nov. '09 at the Luau.

Is this her? If so she was there May 22nd!

Yes, that's the lady I remember! Thank you.

I look forward to seeing her in 43 more days!

Is there a particular time that she plays? Or is the entertainment mostly continuous throughout the evening?

We saw her too in Oct. 09. She's fabulous! So friendly and funny too. After the hula dancing, she came to our table and got very excited over my DH's Hawaiian shirt. Apparently it had the outline of the island she grew up on. She made him stand up and started stroking his chest where the island was!:lmao: He turned beet red and I laughed and laughed! Before she left our table, she saw that my oldest DD was wearing her b-day button so she brought out cupcakes for all 3 of my DD's! Too sweet. We're hoping to see her when we go back to Ohana!:goodvibes She definitely added to a great evening spent there.

She was there the night we ate at Ohana in March, and I agree she's great - full of energy and enthusiasm!! Our pre-schooler had a great time! But I do have to say that our pre-teens are no longer into the act, so they requested a break from Ohana. So we're trying Kona next time!
