I am going to treat myself to a drink while at Ohana in December (dinner). Could someone recommed a good mixed drink? Preferrably something really sweet :) :) :)

I liked this one:
Malibu Macaw $7.75
Malibu rum, melon liqueur blended with fresh pineapple and cranberry juices

Lapu Lapu! It's not sweet, but it's served in a pineapple. How much more Polynesian can you ask for? It was good, but I had to water mine down! :rotfl:

We had the back scratcher, it was reaaalllly good.
they were really big drinks for the money. :cool1:

From the new menu thread:

There's a new maritini to go with the bread pudding. It's called Yellow Tang (named after a fish). (the martini is awesome) It's banana liquor, butterscotch schnapps, and Frangellica shaken with pineapple and sour mix and it's served with a cinnamon and sugar rimmed glass.

I am going to try this on Oct 1st :smooth:

CHEERS!

My favorites are the Zombie (strong, with alcohol taste - I love it) and the Tradewinds. FH just said that those are his favorite as well. :) The Zombie is very close to the Lapu Lapu, but cheaper!

 i had a drink while in the bar area waiting for our table and it was the worst drink i have ever had...i made them make it again..and then the second one wasnt any better....

I would reccomend the Blue Hawaiian. The lapu lapus are good, but I prefer the Blue Hawaiian.

Dh and I both tried the Lapu Lapu on our last visit to Ohana. They sure were yummy!

Ok, here's what I'm thinking. The Blue Hawaiian and the Mai Tai sound good (I've always wanted to try a mai tai anyway). Also the Maui Rita sounds yummy. I am one of those wussy folks like that drinks heavy on the sweet and lighter on the alcohol flavor. Of these I have named, any suggestions on which I might enjoy more?

I suggest two of these then a backscratcher!

If you like your drinks more sweet and less alcoholy tasting you will love this drink! Its fabulous!

Lapu Lapu- fun drinking it from the pineapple, but don't drink it fast when dehydrated. ;)

Zombie is very tasty.

My dh had the Malibu Macaw and it was very good (not too much alcohol taste!). I had the Lapu Lapu, and it was STRONG. Yes, it came in a pineapple, but it really wasn't that good. My kids re-named it the Loopy Loopy, and that just about summed it up!

These drinks sound wonderful! However I am not an alcohol drinker, do they make any of these virgin?

I just want an exotic looking drink for that meal....without the booze.

I was told the Lapu-lapu was just a mai tai in a pineapple with a shot of bacardi 151 - thats why it tastes a little stronger. if you want sweet - I would stay away from the mai tai

most in our party had the mai tai or lapu lapu - but a few had island sunset and said they were yummy.

This is seriously, the best drink I have ever had.
