Ohana dinner ?

Do they still include the pineapple and caramel for desert? I was
looking at a menu on another site and I didn't see it listed?

They still had it when we were there a couple of months ago...it was excellent!

They still served it in October!! It was wonderful.
I could eat some right now, even after all that turkey.

That was such a delicious part of that meal. I really enjoyed eating there. Think I liked the meat the best.

They had it last Thursday!!! We enjoyed this meal the most out of all the places we ate last week. Have fun!

We were there for DH's 40th birthday on 11/16. The pineapple with caramel sauce is still there. Service was better than ever...saw a lot of team work going on. Drinks are still mostly juice, even when we told them we didn't want a watery mai tai, it had only a trace of rum in it. (Stick with beer or wine.) Steak, shrimp, turkey and pork were great...waitress even brought us extra shrimp wontons...if you want more of something (even the appetizers) just ask. The kids ordered kids meals, so we paid the kid meal price (under $6) for them, not the higher "feast" price.

I'm a little confused....as usual...lol. Anyway, Is the dinner at Ohana a buffet or do you order off a menu?? From some of the posts it sounds like a buffet.

It is all you can eat served family style, with the meats brought around on skewers.

dansyr, picture a buffet that comes to you. We ate a Ohana's on Nov. 13 and had a great meal. My 14 year old daughter had complained about a sore stomache prior to our arriving at the restaurant and I could see in my mind paying for her barely eating. She sampled some of the apps. that were on the original platter but was still just picking. She tried the turkey and not the beef so I thought, a little progress. Then the shrimp arrived! After her third request for more, I knew that we got full value for her meal. As long as you are eating, the wait staff were great and always there with more.

I can't wait to get back there, it's my Valentine's day meal!!!

I miss the caramel and pineapple so much that a few weeks ago, I grabbed the Marzetti Caramel Apple Dip that they sell in my supermarket's produce section, heated it in the microwave for 30 seconds to thin in out, then dipped fresh pineapple chunks in it. What a hit with my guys. We also did bananas, but it was a Disney dessert that tided us over until we can get to 'Ohana again.

BTW, I've got two picky eaters and they both ate the steak at 'Ohana. We definitely got our money's worth and they keep asking to go back--a good sign!

Okay, so can someone give me an idea of what's on this special children's menu by Tuesday afternoon? I leave Weds. AM and we are eating at 'Ohana Weds. night. I'd love to see what's on this in case it would appeal to my picky DD more than the other stuff.
