Ohana childrens activities

The last time we dined at ohana, we dined from 5-6pm and never saw a coconut race or a hula contest. What time do they usually start the festivities?

I believe they usually do start early, at least the coconut races, when I have dined there. We have had 2 early PSs (lke 5:00 & 5:15 if I remember right) and both times we did the coconut races multiple times during the meals, but we never did see hula hoop contests.

Do they do them only once per night or maybe once early and once late?

We had an early time & my nieces participated in games & a "parade". I really don't remember what the games were, but they had a good time.

When we were there in April 2005 we were seated after 8pm and did coconut races, hula hoop contest and the kids were taught to hula. Kids loved it and were kept entertained throughout dinner. Maybe you were there on an "off" night.

Thank you all. we are taking the kids this time and have an 845 (it was the earliest they had all week!) I am hoping they still do the activities that late in the evening. We will spend the day at the AK, take a long nap then watch the fireworks from the Poly Beach and then eat at Ohana. I am not happy eating so late, but with a long nap, they will be ready to play games. Has anyone dined there late- did they still have the activities?

We ate there on Thursday and all the activities were in full force! We had an ADR for 7:45 and they did the coconut races, limbo, some parade thing, and a hula dance session. We loved the food and atmosphere. We got the kids the Beach Bomb which is a rainbow snowcone in a beach bucket. They loved them! Very fun!

We had reservations for 7:00pm. They have activities for the kids every 20 minutes or so. They continued them through-out the evening. The kids would come to the table to eat for awhile and then they would leave for the activities.

We were there earlier this month. I believe we had a 5:30 ADR but arrived and seated a bit earlier. My children did a coconut race, hula dancing and the limbo.
