Ohana Character Breakfast - Availability day of?

We tried to get the Ohana Character Breakfast for the first day of our trip (November 12). This is for my grandson's 3rd birthday. He loves stitch! Anyway at the 60 day mark at the crack of dawn we were unable to obtain. I have also been checking daily and no luck either. Has anyone had luck getting a reservation day before or day of. We arrive late at night on 11/11 and we were not planning on a park that day since we bought the tickets for the Christmas Party that night. Thanks

That is so frustrating for you - I’m sorry to hear this.
My suggestion for you, and what I do, is check multiple times a day to see if anyone canceled, which would make an opening for you. I have obtained a dining reservation doing this more than once. I also am someone that cancels reservations as my plans change - I don’t hesitate to do this so someone else can get it. I hope you’re able to get into this breakfast and I hope you have a great trip

How many in your party? There may be availability if you split the group.

We did just that this past June for Topolino's. We had a party of 6, and there was zero availability for that size party on the day our reservation window opened, and we were booking for toward the end of our trip when we hoped it would be easier.

There were, however, reservations for parties of 3...so our travel agent booked two reservations for three (my son was the lead on the other reservation) and the reservations were just five minutes apart. We checked in at the podium 15 minutes early and I told the host that if possible, could we please be seated at adjacent tables because we were all together. He said he'd try, but no guarantees.

Well, try he did...and pixie dust was sprinkled. We ended up all together at a table for six!
