Good afternoon!!

We are planning a trip to WDW in August. When we go to make our reservation at Ohanas for dinner, do we request a table near the window to view Wishes, at that time? Has anyone ever requested it and actually gotten it? Do I need to remind them at "check-in?" Any help would be appreciated!!!!

TIA!!!!!

It doesn't hurt to mention your request when you make your PS, but I wouldn't trust that alone. I would arrive a bit early for your PS, and request at the podium that you would like a window seat - and be willing to wait a little longer past your PS, perhaps.

I would make a PS for an hour before Wishes, as well, to ensure you'll have the best chance. =)

Yes, Your chances of getting a window view table are great if you arrive early and ask the CM ahead of time. FYI, you will have a much better view from the beach at the Poly than from O' Hanas....But you will not hear the music on the beach. We saw the Wishes fireworks from :
1. A Wishes Cruise on the Lagoon
2. California Grill
3. Poly Beach
4. Magic Kingdom

In my opinion the best viewing is of course, in the MK. Then from the California Grill, because you can see the fireworks up close, and hear the music. Wishes is the best! You will love it from any location, but I thought I'd give you my opinion! :flower:

Be specific with your request otherwise you'll get a window seat with a view of the volcano pool. This happened to us.

When we ate there last June we had a big table--there was 9 of us and we sat right in front of the pit which is the farthest table from the window and we could still see Wishes really good. Just wanted to let you know incase you dont get a table right next to the window the viewing is still good.

Are there children in your party? If so, you'll probably have a better chance of being by a window. When we make PS's for an all-adult party, they always place us in the back section of the room, behind the fire pit. I guess they assume we don't want to be bothered by the kids games.

In august we did the same thing. I requested on my ps "window seat with view of fireworks" had a very nice cm too. :wizard: So we finally get to August (are staying at poly) and show up for our ps > Up to podium and give name to cm (male) at desk and he says " I see you requested a window table" well that's going to be a very long wait, would you take another table? I said "no, we are in no rush, I will be at the bar, no problem, thanks" Another cm (male) walked up through 1/2 of this conversation and said at this point "just one moment miss" leans over to the other guys and whispers something and the 1st guy then says right this way follow me.... We got a very nice table window seat for 2 (sister and myself) (I guess they only wanted to give them to couples?) and view of fireworks. (as requested).

So it is possible, The windows are large and the many tables are set up to look out at the lagoon, pool, and mk. If you request it through your original ps it will get to the poly and ohana's.

We were given a window view of the castle with no obstructions. Just the perfect seating. It was our 10th Anniversary and noted on our PS. We never said anything when checking in. We felt like we had the best seat in the restaurant.
