Ohana breakfast worth it? Scrambled eggs?

They have POG juice?! I'm sold. :) How long does the typical breakfast take? If you ask for your check in advance, can you be out in an hour or so? I know the characters are the best part, so I don't want to have to rush through, but also don't want to be getting to MK too late.

Granted my ADRs have always been within the first 45 minutes of opening so I'm not sure if that has an impact, but I've never speant more than 45-50 minutes there for breakfast. Maybe an hour once tops.

My kids love it.
I am GF- so I really enjoyed having my own platter of food.
And we love the relaxed atmosphere of family style and not missing any characters.

We love Ohana for breakfast mostly because Stitch is DD's favorite ;)
That's not the only reason I enjoy having the food brought to the table rather than standing in line and the character interaction is great. We also love the Poly and that incredible view of the castle :cloud9:

You'll definitely be out within an hour. The food comes out very quickly. The only thing that takes time is getting to see Stitch and the gang as they have to see everyone around the room. What time is your ADR for?

We have an ADR at 7:35. I'm assuming we won't make rope drop at MK, but hopefully we won't get in too much past 9am. We're planning around my 2 year old's nap schedule, so those morning hours are priceless!

We like their breakfast a lot. You get a skillet with eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, Mickey and Stitch waffles, and biscuits. There's also a large plate of fresh fruit and some sweet buns. It's plenty of food, but it is a set menu, just like their dinner.

1) It is hard to get other eggs when they use the liquid "eggs-in-a-pouch".
2) Sorry, but I cannot stand those "bagged" eggs.
Eggsactly his issue. He's there to make his kids happy. He's going to be eating plenty of things he chooses later, so...

I was looking at the Ohana breakfast menu, and I'm trying to understand the Ohana love. Is it really just scrambled eggs, sausage and potatoes? That doesn't seem very special to me :(. I know it's a character meal, but that's pretty plain for the $.
'Ohana breakfast is a character meal. Every table gets a skillet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fried potatoes and biscuits. They also serve "Stitch Juice", a blend of passion fruit juice, orange juice and guava juice which is delicious. Free refills on anything you want. This is the only meal (I believe) that you can see Stitch and Lilo. It's fun, the food is good, and I recommend it.

You could be in an out very quickly if you skip all the hoohaa.....but thats what its about

Buffet breakfasts are tough when you have little ones. We loved the Lilo and Stitch one because it made it easier to be able to sit and enjoy breakfast instead of taking turns taking the little ones to the buffet. And then going back for our own. The character interaction at this was the best of any. And Stitch was hilarious. We wouldn't do it now that our kids are older.

This is one of my favorite breakfasts at WDW. The food isn't anything spectacular (as most are saying) although I could drink my weight in "Stitch Juice".
Maybe it's just the vibe in the place, or maybe it's because I'm partial to the Polynesian, but it's really fun and I've always had really great service there as far as buffets go. We've had great seating right by the window so we could look out over the pool/water and see the MK.

Indeed! then we get to pee the rest of the day...and have a diabetic seizure...

1) Well, at least the "seizure" part might be right.

DAMN

That's a cheeseburger......

There are many other breakfasts on property, with or without characters; and either buffet or table service; that have a more interesting menu. This is why I haven't done the Ohana character breakfast. Too bad, as they could have created a really interesting Hawaiian-themed breakfast menu.

Fruit is high sugar high carb. I *hope* you are getting a 200ml serving, thus arriving at a high portion of vit C and others. But being aware of this, limiting one's intake to a small glass, and drinking more water (or tea or coffee, which, in moderation both have health benefits) Of course, in the UK they would have to list whether there is added sugar / water. Not sure if they have to list that there.
