We will be staying at the Poly (9 days) and would prefer to get breakfast out of the way at the hotel most mornings before hitting the parks. I have a few planned for Kona, but wonder if doing Ohana twice, mostly for the characters, would be worth it. So is the food good? The menu on allears didn't blow me away. What are your thoughts?

I personally didn't think it would be worth eating at twice in 1 trip for the same meal. For our fmaily of 4 (2Adults, 2 Kids) it will cost us around $75 plus tip for b'fast there. That's a LOT for bfast!

I would look into other options such as a CS or a danish at Various parks, or even a sit down b'fast at Chef Mickey (1 Monorail stop away).

Ohana b-fast, worth eating at twice?

No. It's good, not great. Last time we went (3 of us) we got 3 whole waffles brought out, so after 3 seconds we needed more, and it took them forever to bring more food. Then they just brought 1 of each again.

I suggest getting up a little earlier and hitting another monorail resort. Get breakfast at O'hana once, but the next time go to the Grand Floridian at 1900 Park Fare.

Thanks! The menu looked really boring. Maybe we'll hit Boma on our departure day instead, we don't need to be at the airport until noon.

Ohana is good, butI wouldn't do it twice. Try Grand Floridian Cafe......the best french toast ever!!! GFC is my DH's favorite for breakfast....he wants to eat there everyday when we go in Dec, but I have it down to 2!!

As others have said, 'Ohana is good but not worth doing 2x. I agree with the PP, try the Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast. It's only a monorail stop away from the Poly and has wonderful food and service. :thumbsup2

Well, I guess we are in the minority, but we have 2 small kids who love 'Ohana. I love the convenience of eating there when we stay at the Poly and we usually do the deluxe dining plan. We did it 3 times on our last trip (we were at the Poly for 11 nights) and we have it booked twice for our upcoming trip. I think the food is fine - we love the juice, mickey waffles, fresh fruit and bacon. We find the character interaction here to be excellent. It is by far our favorite character breakfast.

We went twice in the same trip and really enjoyed it... And I thought the food was wonderful! There were 2 different breakfast breads -- one was cinnamon raisin and the other was coconut pineapple. Both were served warm and very moist -- delicious! The rest of the food was standard eggs, potatoes, meats (bacon, sausage, etc.) but all VERY good. Lilo, Stitch, Mickey and Pluto were great both times.

I also suggest getting the Tonga Toast from Capt. Cooks one morning and enjoying it outside.

But for breakfast character meals, we also enjoyed 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian with Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatter, Tigger and Pooh. Food there was delicious especially the lobster eggs benedict, the egg omelets, and the strawberry soup.
