Ohana breakfast question on transportation

I am staying with DD early December at a value resort. The only reservation for Ohana breakfast (which she REALLY wants to do...) is at 7:30. OH MY! That will be super early. But how am I going to get there that early? Originally I thought I would take a bus to Epcot or MK, and monorail over. But there is no early magic hours that morning. Parks open at 9am. Suggestions?

I actually asked a similar question (we're staying at POFQ) on the Disney Mom's panel thing and had it answered. They said Disney starts running buses to the parks an hour to 30 minutes before the earliest available ADR time. From MK you could hop on the monorail to the Poly.

I've only ever stayed at deluxe before and took a boat or monorail, so I was really worried about this.

I hope this is correct information, but I'm sure someone will correct me if it is wrong :)

The one thing to keep in mind is that buses do not run all that frequently during the very early hours of the morning. And Disney recommends you budget 90 minutes to get from point A to point B using their transportation. Which would put you out at the bus stop at 6 am. Most of the time 90 minutes is over-kill, but the you can run into a glitch that has you using every bit of that time.

For an early morning ADR I highly recommend using a taxi to get to your meal. For around $20 you will gain about an hour of sleep. The will pick you up right at your resort, and drop you off right where you need to be. No muss, no fuss, no worrying about if you just missed the bus you needed and when will the next one come along.

Ok. Then answer me this. I will be paying out of pocket for Ohana Breakfast. One adult, one kid Is it really worth it? I know crazy. But getting up early, cab over there..... I just wish I had a better time! SO EARLY!! ! LOL

Keep checking to see if you can get a later reservation. I just got one last night for Chef Mickey's and had been checking for weeks. Fingers crossed for you.

I was wanting to do the Ohana breakfast too. I'm going in May next year and my 180 day countdown started yesterday, how early do I need to book realistically? From information i already have it's not one of the popular breakfasts.

I was going to take a cab for this one time, it seemed less stressful that way.

This may be a strange story to include in this whole mess - but it may give you some REAL perspective.

A few years ago, we left some valuables in a friend's stroller, and they were leaving the next day. We called their cell phones, and arranged to meet her at her hotel - the Polynesian. I woke up SUPER early, and hopped a bus from Pop Century over to the Magic Kingdom. I then boarded the monorail over to the Polynesian. I called her, and she brought the book out. I then boarded a bus to Hollywood Studios. I met my family there. We were first in line.

IT CAN BE DONE!
