Ohana Breakfast offerings Vs. other resort char. b-fasts

We are looking forward to Ohanas. the food looks good but the most important part is the interaction with the characters. I've heard such great reviews on that.

We have booked this for our upcoming trip. I am really looking forward to it.

HopperFan? Were you solo? Is that the skillet for one?

I'm going solo in Nov and am planning on brekkie at 'Ohana on my last day and was worried there would be too much food.

Silly, I know. ;)

Not a silly question. I think they scale the amount of food to the table. We are a family of 4 and had a smaller platter then what was pictured in the photo. We recieved 4 waffles, etc. We asked and received more waffles and fruit. We thought the breakfast was OK, nothing exciting. The food was fine but we found the service was slow. We had to wait a long time at the end for one of the Characters (so much so that I left with one child while DH stayed with the other). However, STITCH WAS GREAT! He was a hoot! If you like stitch, go!

'Ohana is great for breakfast. Definitely go for the character interaction though, not the food. The food is only passable in my opinion. I've been there several times and the food is never very warm when we get it. The kids love it though. It's a must for your Stitch fan!! Great atmosphere also.

Not getting in the middle of the husband-wife thing :) , but I prefer 1900 and Chef Mickey's to 'Ohana. I find 'Ohana boring (but am not a big Stitch fan) and the food ho-hum.

Still, I'd take Crystal Palace breakfast over all of 'em, any day of the week.

All WDW restaurant will help you out with dietary issues (veggie/vegan counts) - give 'em 24 hours notice, and you're all set. :)

We are planning on doing this breakfast in September for the first time.

Would anyone know if they would be happy to bring the bacon and sausages out seperate from the eggs and waffles. I am a veggie and don't really want the meat on the veggie food.

Yes, they'll bring you a platter w/o meat. Just make sure you tell them ahead of time that you're veggie. They were very accomodating to our group (all veggie), but we didn't know to ask ahead.

Our favorite character breakfast - mostly due to incredibly fun interactions. Stitch and other characters played with my kids spending lots of time with them. It was the highlight of our trip last year (well, one of the highlights anyway :rotfl: ).

Go with a happy heart and make your husband's day. I think it would be fun just to watch him interact with the characters.

My DH and I went on our last day of our Disneymoon in Jan.. the interaction was awesome! When Stitch came over and saw our Just Married pins, he pointed at me and then pointed at my DH.. then he walked over to DH and punched him in the arm and knelt down and took my hand...I HAD to say yes, right?:lmao:

For the rest of the day, my DH kept walking around saying, "Ask your NEW husband?" and " Stitch punched me!"

Oh yeah, and the food was AWESOME! DH is jealous cause I'm going back in Dec - I had to promise to bring him back a piece of Pinapple Bread.

We sat at a small table right on a window, overlooking the lake.

Ha! I started this thread a year ago before our Aug. '06 trip and I got the best responses after our trip and now again almost a year later!!!

Since I'm here, I'll report that we loved the Ohana character b-fast! Great food and fun character interaction! I even got a b-day cupcake and certificate. After b-fast we spent about 40 min. just walking around the Poly beach, pool, and grounds. We got some awesome pics of the lagoon and beach. A perfect way to end our trip!
