OK... I just made an ADR for 'Ohana Breakfast but the only thing they had for our huge party of 12 was 10:55AM. Are they going to be clearing the place out? Are the Characters going to be ready to leave? Is there going to be any food left?

I will keep calling back every day to see if there are better times or if I could get into Chef Mickey's (yeah right) but for now that's all I could get. I'm trying for Wednesday November 26th so I know I'm a little late to the party!

What do you guys think? Is it crazy to think that is going to be a good dining experience? Has anyone else had a character breakfast that late with good results? Please share!

Our experience is quite different than what you are thinking. We do Chef Mickey's evry trip on our last day before we head home. We do the latest breakfast ADR possible. The place is empty (people are off to the parks by then.) We have never had a problem with food not being replenished, ever. Everything is always hot and refilled. It fills us for quite a while so we can skip lunch that day. The BEST part is the characters. They don't leave till you do. Last trip I had the stomach flu, so we rushed a bit, but the time before that my kids got pictures with many characters at once with no one in the background. My DD9 (5 at the time) who LOVES Pluto, got to dance with Pluto for several minutes. He was silly fast dancing with her then started slow dancing with her, it was priceless. We LOVE the last breakfast!!!
Have fun... We will be there for Thanksgiving too (not at Ohana's, but in Disney.)

We either do 8:05 ADR's or the last seating. We have never had an issue with food replenishment or the characters. Don't worry- have fun!

OK... starting to feel better! Keep those reports coming!

I just feel so much pressure because I'm the "Official Disney Coordinator" for a bunch of newbies! (17 total but only 12 want to eat this meal) I want everything to be wonderful... but I'm not the type to plan every moment at Disney! Usually it's just DH and I and we go where we want when we want.

With a group this big it is nearly impossible to keep track of what everyone wants to do! I kind of thought everyone would be on their own for food except for my DH's birthday meal... but now they tell me they want a Character breakfast! :confused3

I'd still like to get in at Chef Mickey's and holding out for a little pixie dust! But I'm happy we got anything at all this late in the game!

Sorry for the venting! I'm really excited! I just feel this pressure like everyone is relying on me for all the answers!

Sorry for the pressure, but don't let it ruin your fun, both in Disney and the planning (which is to me at least half the fun!) I think you actually lucked out with that time. Good luck with CM, it is the best (IMO), but that also makes it hard to get in. We will be at CM on Thanksgiving for dinner and the following Sunday for our farewell late breakfast, so if you get in maybe we will see you.

Don't worry about it. I have a 10:50 at Ohnan on Nov 26. I was a little woried and tried to change it, but we are just going to have an easy morning and then head over to the Poly. Like a PP said the breakfast is so late that you will skip lunch and maybe have an early dinner. See you there.

I've always done the last seating at Ohana for breakfast. And I have never felt rushed, the food always seemed fresh, and the character interaction was great! It did seem like we had the place to ourselves. So it was nice that it was overly loud and there wasn't a ton of people running around. When ever I make my ADR's, I always try to get the last seating for character breakfasts.

We did the last seating once. Unfortunately, we will never do the last seating again. This was a while ago - pre Lilo and Stitch.

We were seated 40 minutes after our ADR time, despite getting there 20 minutes early.

The characters went off shift about five minutes after we were sat - maybe ten - they hussled all the characters by the table when we sat down. Then they all left.

Then we had breakfast in an empty restaurant. Since I don't go to character meals for the food, this was not what we wanted.

Yes, I complained. No, it didn't do any good.

Hi, we ate at Cape May Cafe at 10.55 and had a fab breakfast! Plenty of food, loads of characters and calmer than the earlier seatings!
