Ohana Breakfast and parking??

My friend that just moved to Florida is going to take a drive up while we are in Disney to spend the day with us.

My questions is can she park at the Polynesian for breakfast even though she is not staying at Disney? And from there can we all just take the bus to Animal Kingdom together after breakfast or does she need to park somewhere else and take Disney transportation to Ohana's?

We have never driven while there so I'm not sure how it all works or what to tell her? THANKS!

I would also love to hear some replies on this. We were planning on taking our car to the Beachclub for our breakfast at Cape May's. We wanted to leave the car there and take the boat to Epcot but we weren't sure if this was allowed.

Yes you can park at the resorts, when you drive in you will have to tell the toll takers you are goign to the Polynesian for breakfast, then you will also have to check in at the resort gate and say you are going to eat. The parking at the Polynesian is pretty far from the main building, so plan extra time.

As for leaving it there, I am not so sure. I think she should move it over to AK lodge (she should be able to get in there too, just say she is dining there or visting the hotel).

As long as you are eating at a resort restaurant you can park there. As far as using that parking and then going to a park, I am not sure if it is "allowed" but we had dinner at Wilderness Lodge one time, parked there and had dinner, then took the boat over the MK for Wishes. We didn't have an issue.

3 hour resort parking is permitted for those with business there - which includes dining.

Parking @ the resorts while visiting a theme park is not permitted. The car will have to be moved, unless you are staying @ the Poly and can get her a parking pass when you check-in. (Which you can usually get if you tell them a local will be visiting you.) The Poly is relatively strict on non-guest parking, as is the Contemporary, and Beach Club.

If not, you might as well drive to the Animal Kingdom -- that would be the quickest and easiest approach -- and would be faster than taking the bus anyway, and easier at the end of the day as well.

Not sure what the point would be in moving the car to the AK Lodge - also not allowed- since they OP/friend aren't going there for anything.

If you really want to leave your car at the resort after eating, you can pay to valet it. Valet costs $12 per day, plus tip.
