I'm hoping this was just a fluke. We went to O'Hana 2 years ago and it was FAB, we liked it so much we actually went twice. (they had the pineapple and caramel then) so we went back last year, and I swear, I would have set the server on FIRE if my husband had let me. He pissed me off that bad, and was that much in need of some serious motivation. But the bread pudding was indeed to die for. (once we finally got it) So we went back again this year, hoping last year was just a fluke. And it seemed to be. There wasn't any talk of 'cousin!' or the stuff we had come to expect, but the service was attentive and the food was good. Then he brought out dessert. What the <bleep!>!? Now I know that when we were a party of four, we got a bigger portion, and being a party of three this year, something smaller was to be expected. But this was absolutely rediculous. The tye-dye cheesecake at Pop Century was bigger than the piece they brought out. It was pretty much hidden by the ice cream and pitcher of bananas foster. It hit the table and I let him know we would need more right away. It was honest-to-god enough for each of us to have ONE bite. He seemed a little confused by my gluttony but finally got another one out so we could all enjoy a second bite. It was good ice cream and sauce though... Who comes up with those insane proportions. We had 25% less people, and got 75% less bread pudding. I made up for it by eating a generous helping of the white chocolate banana bread pudding at the House of Blues gospel brunch buffet, but geez. It was just silly.

I think 'Ohana is strange in its reasoning, in that me and DBF received exactly the same portion sizes as a table of 4... usually I wouldn't complain about portion size, but there was SO much waste!

If I get too little at Ohana, I ask for more until I'm satisfied. It IS "all you can eat". :goodvibes

We ate there last week and the bread pudding was absolutely scrumptious!!! Our server asked if we wanted more, but we declined because we were stuffed. Ohana is an all-you-can-eat experience. They will bring more if you haven't had enough. It's possible you could ask for two portions to be brought to the table right off the bat, I suppose.:confused3

Our Server Pedro and the assistant kept calling us cousin. He was very busy but took care of us.. We tipped him extra and was the only server we tipped extra on the Dining Plan.
