I am holding a reservation for O'Hana at 9:45 pm. I'm not sure its something that I will keep becasue I can't imagine eating a big meal like that so late. But, wishes is at 10 that night.

Here are my questions: do you think people will linger at their tables for wishes making us have to wait longer to eat?

Any chance if we got there by 9:15 we could be taken early?

Has anyone ever eaten there that late? Thoughts? We do have two children, ages 11 and 12. I think they will be able to hang but not sure.

I dont think you can see Wishes from 'Ohana - maybe from the Poly Beach or a TPV room, but not from the restaurant itself (could be wrong though) and to get a spot, I would guess people would start going to the beach area around 9:30-9:45 to see them so for a 9:45 ressie, you should be fine.

In my experience with ADRs, you wont get seated if you come any earlier than 10-15 minutes prior to your scheduled time and even that is somewhat early. You have so much time to before you trip, keep trying to get an earlier slot as people do cancel and move around their ADRs.

We have scheduled 5:30 dinner reservations every night and we have an 8 year old - on a typical day at home that would be too early for her to eat, but after a long day in the parks she's tired and by 9:45 is just about ready for bed.

Good luck!

We watched Wishes from a window table at 'Ohana maybe 4-5 years ago, so I don't know why it would have changed. If anything, you could go early for your ADR and hope to get seated before 9:45. Sometimes they can accommodate you, but of course there are no guarantees. When my kids were that age, we normally didn't eat that late, but if you have an easier morning planned for the next day I suppose it wouldn't be so bad. Good luck with whatever you decide. :goodvibes

There are very few tables with actual views of Wishes, do not count on sitting at one!

We had a 9:45pm reservation last year and arrived about 9:30. The waiting area was PACKED. Was quoted a 45 minute wait from our reservation time (60 min total). We were able to cancel without the fee...

It may have just been a particularly bad night, but my understanding is that Ohana is notorious for running behind especially later into the evening. Maybe it has improved?

I showed up at Ohana for breakfast for my time and I waited an hour last year to be seated. I was so upset bc I sat down as they were cleaning up and preparing to shut down for the day. It definitely changed the experience. However, Mickey did come to our table and spent a little extra time with our little one before going in.

This is what scares me. If we get there and then would have to wait even longer. I think 9:45 is late to start with. I just don't think this one will work for us.

We had that option as well and I passed. It's just too late.
If we were in Europe, on that schedule--sure. But this is Disney, so no.

WE were lucky twice, and we did not even ask for a window! I would never count on that little gift though, becasue as you said, it is a big restaurant and very few tables with any view.

Eating Ohana's at 10pm would be one of the last things I would want to do, especially after a day at the parks. That is just too late and I can't even
believe that you might have to wait even longer if there is a wait.

Never in all of our visits to Ohana's have we EVER been seated before out scheduled time. It is usually well ast the reservation time. For 9:45pm, I would not expect to be seated before 10:30pm and with Wishes at 10, so people may linger.

i have 9:10 reservations for Ohana. I really had my heart set on eating there but will probably cancel because that is way to late for us too.

Don't give up the hunt, folks. Early Ohana ADRs do pop up, but you gotta be ready to pounce on them. I managed to snag two of them for a party of 6 for my trip next month, one at 5:10, which I gave away on the cancellation boards, and another on a better day at 5:15.

I keep checking. I think when it gets closer maybe a good time will show up. Not giving up the hunt :).. Thanks for the encouragement!

It also depends on the season. More leaves on trees (spring/summer) = less view. But at least they dim the lights and pipe in the music.

Just wanted to encourage you that I just scored a 8pm reservation (for 8!) in Sept. I will continue to check for earlier, but for now, that sounds better than 9:45! (The only other time that was available).
Just happy to get one at a REASONABLE hour! KEEP CHECKING!!!!!

Only some tables at 'Ohana have a view of Wishes, but anyone with one of those tables at 9:45 will not be leaving until after Wishes. Those at tables without a view, but want to see Wishes will leave so there will be tables opening up, but not ones with a view. Also, there will be others waiting ahead of you so it is very possible you won't be seated until after Wishes.

Unlikely. 'Ohana tends to run behind schedule regularly so waits of 30-60 minutes are not unusual.

Keep checking online for a cancellation as plans change. Since cancellations re-enter the system almost immediately it is a matter of being online checking just as one comes through. You can also subscribe to the cancellation thread for your month. Be sure to read the rules in the first post:
