I've seen reviews from The Dis guys and the boards that lately Ohana has slipped a little. Food quality has declined a bit but service has really declined...and a lot feel rushed out. I've never been able to get an ADR...and always wanted to try. Have a few weeks before I'm 180 days out...but already thinking about it!!!!LOL Any body go in the last few weeks?TIA!

Yes. Did breakfast and dinner this week. Neither was a magical experience. Used to love but would not recommend now.
I went for dinner in early December and the food and service was really good. They came by several times to ask us if we wanted more of anything. My son said he wanted more potstickers but was too full, so the waiter packed up some for him to go without asking. I really wasn’t expecting much after recent negative, but it was one of everyone’s favourite meals.

Responses are going to be all over the place on this. We had breakfast in August (despite having seen poor reviews for months), and it was fantastic. Service was attentive, not at all rushed, and character interactions were great (not rushed either).

Was just here last Thursday, and DH and I were discussing how great it was. Service was spot on, just as we were needing something, it arrived. Everything was timed perfectly. Never felt rushed, never felt neglected.
We were even seated pretty much immediately at 5:35. (That was a surprise for me)

YMMV as with any restaurant...

Since it's a hard to get ADR, why not go ahead and make it when you can if you have some interest. You can always change your mind later and sub another in its place. I've been twice over the past 4 yrs and won't go again. My last experience was a year and a half ago. While I liked the pot stickers and the dessert, didn't care for the quality of the mains. I also found service rushed and unfriendly. Conveyor belt atmosphere with mediocre food x 2 experiences.

This is our favorite restaurant and we go every time we’re at WDW. We’ve never had a bad experience. Have some been better experiences than others, yes, but you’ll get that at any restaurant.

It was aweful on our December trip, we had a party of 10 (8 who had never been before). The sides were cold, salad looked old, meat was very fatty but also cooked to death. Best part was the coconut bread and bread pudding. We used to enjoy Ohana a lot and ate their often, but we won’t be back for awhile. Very diasappointing and at $50 pp we could of done a signature.

Went on Jan 7th and had a weird experience. We were sat and greeted quickly, given bread right away. We didn’t need to wait for drinks because we got our first round at the lounge.

We then asked for a second loaf of bread and our server disappeared. Waited a half hour and no appetizers or bread refill... we saw the manager walking around with a tablet and I think she saw us looking for our server so she came over and asked how we were.

We told her we’ve been waiting about a half hour and would just like appetizers... she said yes she sees that we had been sitting for 29 minutes. We chatted for another minute, she was very pleasant and professional, then about five minutes later out came the appetizers. The rest of the dinner went decent, our server magically reappeared and took good care of us. She even got our dessert to go for us because we were too full.

All in all it was okay, but the appetizers were better than the entrees. The shrimp was smoky and almost burnt and the steak dry, but the chicken was good. All the apps were great. I know a lot of people say that they felt rushed, we had almost the exact opposite experience. I’m not sure what happened during that first half hour but I am happy the manager was walking around and proactively paying attention.

It was fine, but for the price I don’t see myself going back until they get everything better than fine. I’ll get a Lapu Lapu in the lounge and call it a day.

We go ever trip and we were there on Monday for breakfast. A little odd to start off with (never happened before)- the hostess who seated us was not in a good mood (I get that- it's hard to be always on) but she did not grab the bread to bring to the table with us. After 10 minutes and no bread, I asked our waiter for it. Our waiter got better as we chatted with him but it did feel a little different than in past times we went. Just a little off but still a good meal.

I haven't been since 2017 but I have no idea how this is anyone's favorite. Some of the worst beef I've had anywhere - tough, overcooked and no seasoning, served along with Costco frozen section style appetizers. There's nothing particularly special about this place. Price/value is one of the worst on property, IMO. The best thing was probably the drink my wife had served inside of a hollowed out pineapple.

Ohana has always been one of our favorites, we eat there every trip. We've had a couple of just ok meals but it's usually consistently good (we like everything except the steak which is consistently bad). However back in June last year we had an absolutely terrible meal, with terrible service (so bad that we spoke with management about it, which is rare for us) and we had thought to give it a break for a while, but we stayed at the Poly over Labor Day last year, ordered the twilight feast and it was great, so we decided to give Ohana another try. The food was very good (even better than the twilight feast) and our service was great.

If you've never been, I would definitely try it.

Consistency is a problem at Ohana. We've had some good experiences and some less than ideal experiences, but never anything horrible. We still stop in for a meal when we stay at PVR but always with tempered expectations.

We went to Disney the first week in September (Labor Day week) this past year staying at the Polynesian and were completely unimpressed by O’hana. We thought the food was bland and uninteresting. The service was fine. For comparison, on the same trip we also ate at Tusker House, Akershus, and Cinderella’s Castle. We absolutely loved the food and serviice and Tusker House and Akershus. We also loved the service and ambience of Cinderella but not the food which was pretty plain as well. O’hana was definitely our worst meal of the trip and we would not do it again. (We were a family of 3, two adults, one almost 3 year old). All four meals were breakfast. Maybe dinner is better at O’hana I can’t speak to that.

I've been to Ohana twice for dinner, once in February 2018 and the second for our honeymoon in September 2018. Both times we absolutely loved the food, we just wished we had more room to enjoy more of the dessert lol! The first time I did feel slightly rushed, but my husband didn't say anything about feeling the same way so maybe it was just me lol. The second time felt a bit better paced, and when our server found out we were there on our honeymoon, he brought out complimentary champagne and a bunch of leis for us to wear lol. There was another young man helping to clear our plates, and he said we were lucky and that our server only did that for people he really liked lol. So I guess being nice is always helpful! :)

My husband and I will actually be there again in exactly one week from tonight! :banana:I planned all of the details of this trip, so my husband doesn't know everything we are doing. But he specifically requested dinner at Ohana, so that's a testament to how much he likes it too! :)

Our last meal at Ohana was in November. Honestly we enjoyed everything about our meal except the steak. It was so off, terribly chewy and not cooked well.
Ohana is one of our favorite spots at Disney so we will be again this summer. Hopefully we will have a better experience with the steak. If you want to try it do it.

First time we went to O’hana with a group of ten and everything was wonderful—great service, delicious food, especially noodles and pot stickers, and the atmosphere was so great! That was in Dec 2014.

Went again Oct 2015 and it was..... not so great. Some of the shrimp was pretty undercooked and our server was totally MIA.

Similar experience in Jan 2017 plus the chicken tasted gross that time, like rubbery or burnt or something.

My husband has requested it again for our upcoming trip but I just can’t bring myself to do it again with how expensive it is. We’ll try some meat-centric Disney Springs meals for him instead.

I accept 'Ohana for what it is.
Lots of freshly made and hot protein with mass produced carbs and veggies added in as an afterthought.
When we stay at Poly, a welcoming scent is the smell of the grilling meal sometime in the early afternoon.

We eat there in some form or the other (room service or at the restaurant), every trip we are with kiddos since it makes them happy.
It's not fine dining, doesn't pretend to be and the price is reasonable for WDW standards and prices.

As far as the service is concerned we get what we want within 10 minutes of our need; works for us.
