Ohana and Wishes times...

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what would be a good time for ADR's if we wanted to eat at Ohana's and see the fireworks while there? Thanks-Rebecca and co.

Depending on whether or not MK is having a night parade Wishes is either 9:00 or 10:00. We went last week on a night when Wishes was at 9:00, our reservation was 6:45, we got seated at 7:15(waited for a window table). We were completely finished bill paid by 8:45. We probably could have dragged dinner out a little longer to be able to watch the fireworks. I felt like they kind of rushed us during our meal, it is actually just as nice sitting on the beach in chairs at the Poly after dinner and watching the fireworks, in my opinion.

We did this a few weeks ago and it was great. Wishes was at 10 and our adr's were for 9. Great interaction for the kids. They did coconut races pushing the coconuts around w/little brooms. Played limbo and kids did the hula very cute. We watched the EWP go by...had a perfect view of the castle and fireworks. I have to tell you... my dh told me after dinner that he was thinking...this is the one "blonde moment" I had. Dinner at 9pm!! He wasn't thrilled but didn't say a word... as we were leaving he told me this and had to add... but I was so wrong. It was such a great time. Perfect view, the entertainment...the whole atmosphere...we enjoyed it so much. On top of that...the food was good ! You will enjoy this for sure!

I just booked mine at 9:30 pm (couldn't get anything earlier) and Wishes starts at 10 pm. Would we have to be at the window table in order to watch Wishes? Does the hula and other activities stop when Wishes plays?

I'm just wondering if we should try to get an earlier ADR (like 9 or 9:15 pm).

you don't have to be at the window to see wishes... you might have to turn your chair to see but that's it. the hula and activities are done before wishes starts. they pipe in the music and basically stops about everything and everyone turns to watch... since your adr's aren't until 9:30..you just might be still eating while wishes is going on...which wouldn't bother me any..

When Wishes starts, they still keep bringing the food to your table, right?

I just want to make sure we have enough time to finish our dinner before everything stops (including the food).

yeah... they'll bring food as long as you want it !!!!
