Hi, We have ADR'S at OHana on July 3rd. How early should I arrive before our ADR's to REQUEST an MK view?? My ADR is for 8pm and FIREWORKS are at 9pm. I was thinking of arriving at 7pm and waiting?? Any advice?? Thanks, Joan

If you are not able to get the ideal table....walk down to the beach and watch the electric water parade on the water and then the fireworks....

have fun!

The beach front at the Poly is and awesome view for the fireworks. You'll also have the sound track playing as well there so it is a can't miss spot.

so you want to get there at 7pm, and wait over 2hours for the fireworks, preventing others from eating? Honestly, in my opinion I think thats Rude. Not only are you affecting other people wait longer, your also killing your servers tips. O'Hana is usually a pretty fast meal, so like 45minutes. You waiting an extra hour and a half lets say is killing them for an extra 2 tips. Its just my opinion, but rude none the less to do. Keep your ADR at 8, ask for a MK view, and if you get it, great, eat your meal and enjoy. If your done, just walk to the beach and enjoy the show... Its just as good and doesnt ruin anyone elses experience..

We have reservations at Ohana's and had thought about watching the fireworks from the Beach afterwards. I am not familiar with the grounds at the Poly. Where is the best place to watch and be able to hear the soundtrack?pixiedust: pixiedust:

I love the view of the fireworks from 'Ohana and we have done this many times. You stated you would arrive at 7:00. I am sure you will not be seated immediately and if you do not get seated until 7:30 or 7:45 this is not too much time to eat. We usually have reservations at least 1 hours before Wishes starts and we are usually enjoying our desert and coffee while Wishes is going on. We love this place and there is alot of food and we do not rush through our meal. I do not know if you have eaten there before but it usually takes us longer than 45 minutes to eat there. I am sure most everyone else that eats there at that time will be planning on staying for the fireworks.

If you do want to leave your table earlier, the view from the beach at the Poly is wonderful also.

NO!!! I was TOLD when I made the ADR to Check -IN EARLY and ask for a MK VIEW. So I was asking if 7pm was a GOOD time allowance to CHECK-IN and WAIT for my 8pm ADR! BUT FORGET IT!!! I will JUDGE it myself. I was HOPING someone would answer me that has asked for the MK View and HOW much longer they had to WAIT for it. I have been to OHANA and I KNOW that even if I check in 10 minutes early I will be waiting for a table longer than anticipated! Joan

we didn't even ask for a MK view and got it:cloud9: we did arrive early ;) and they had noted that it was our honeymoon, so that might have been part of the reason, but it was a VERY magical experience and arriving early definitely can not hurt. It was incredible and is now a "must do" on our list ;)!! Good luck and enjoy!

I think it would be a good idea to arrive early and request a table with MK view. Then when it's your ressie time they could seat you there if a table is available. we plan to eat there then go out to the beach for the EWP and Wishes!! Have fun!!

I think one of the previous posters must have misunderstood the ??? you would arrive early, ask for the table with the view but would be seated at your time.....right??

I was under the impression you wanted to be seated at 7pm and wait over 2 hours, not check in at 7... Checking in at 7 still might be a little early, i would say 730 is a better bet....

If you do arrive early what do you do to while away the time?

They let you stand up to watch the fireworks if you arent seated by the window
Yes they do, but anyone who does this and is reading this, PLEASE be considerate of others around you and do not block the view! This has happened to me so many times. :sad2:
