Hey All

What has the process for 5pm ADRs at Ohana been looking like lately?

I know that there had been a lot of problems with people trying to walk up to be seated and people with ADRs being in the same line at the podium and the line being really long delaying the people with ADRs being seated.

Then I heard an extra worker was going through the line and asking people if they had ADRs not which was helping to some degree.

Then I heard they had started having an extra line for those who did not have ADRs and another line for those who did which seemed to make people with 5pm ADRs very happy.

What is happening lately? We have a 5pm ADR coming up in November and don't want to miss our ADR time for being stuck in line. What time should we try to be there by?

Thanks Everybody:)

This - in BOLD above was what we experienced in June. We had to double check to make sure we were in the right line since the signage was difficult to see once people were in line. It was our experience the CM's were checking in the ADR's first before they even addressed the walk-ups - which was nice. We thought the process was *much* improved! :thumbsup2

I am glad to hear they changed this. They needed to do something about the huge line there.

I was in the wrong line in July. There was a big line, and I had heard that Ohana can have long lines to check in. ( no big deal.) well after a few minutes the line didnt move, and I asked the lady in front of me, what is taking so long? that is when I found out I was in the walk up line. I went straight up to the desk, and got checked in right away.

Not a huge deal, but it doesnt take much to confuse me. :rotfl2:

We just ate at 'Ohana last Thursday. There were 2 lines. The line on the left, against the railing, was for walk-ups, and the line on the right was for reservations. Up nearer to the desk was a divider to separate the lines with a sign to direct people, but it only extended back about 5 feet, so once a few people were in each line it was hard to see. There was some confusion back where we were in the line (just before 5 for our 5:20 ADR), but word was trickling back so people could get in the right line.

Just FYI - we saw a couple that was was second in the walk-up line be seated at about 5:45. People further back in the line were going to wait a looong time to be seated.

We were there last week, too. Unfortunately, half of the "walk up" line had ADRs. The sign was very small. I ended up being 3rd in the ADR line and then people realized what was happening and moved over.

Personally, I was SHOCKED to see huge lines just to give your name for ADRs. We waited 30 minutes to check into the Crystal Palace. My kids said, "Great another line." :rotfl: They should post a wait time...stand by 30 minutes. :rotfl2:
