Just got my vacation booklet from Disney, we're staying at the Poly and it says Ohana is a 2 credit meal. When did that change happen? Thought it was 1 last trip but we didn't dine there.

I just looked it up on their website and it's listed as only 1 meal... maybe there's a typo in your booklet?

This may be referring to the ROOM SERVICE meal you can get from Ohana. All room service meals are 2TS.

Doubt it's a typo, as it's prefaced with (Please note, if you're on the dining plan ohana is 2 credits). I'll take a picture of the page when I get home. It doesn't say anything about room service. Going to call them. I had planned to maybe get the dining plan even if I got a RO offer, but I won't if they are taking away the best value meals on the plan.

Oh, and our trip is 2017, so if this is a 2018 change it shouldn't apply

Then it must be a typo, because the restaurant contracts for 2017 have already been signed and implemented. It's been 1 credit since January. I don't remember any restaurant going from 1 to 2 credits in the middle of a contract year. Even when Le Cellier changed all those years ago, there were months and months between the announcement and when it occurred.

Thanks for the picture. I still think someone screwed up on this one. The way it reads, BOTH breakfast and dinner would be 2 TS. I just don't think Disney would do this without some kind of announcement. Poly guests are the only ones receiving this brochure, but many other people dine at Ohana, and there's no way for them to know this.

@TheRustyScupper can you confirm or deny this?

yes I think that is an error too. Anytime we have eaten at Ohana it has only been 1 credit per person.

I think they are talking about the Ohana feast that can be ordered to your room and just didn't make that clear.

It just seems odd they would purposely even add that sentence. I'd understand if it was a typo, but it's a sentence that's really ONLY needed if the meal costs more than one TS credit. How strange.

It's almost as if the print copy neglected to include Spirit of Aloha dinner show, but kept the 2-credit language that it would require.

Ah. I bet that was the mistake. I write copy so I have some sympathy but this is a pretty big error.

It wouldn't shock me to see them turn 'Ohana 2 credit, but this is clearly interns at the wheel.

"Two MEALS per person required"

Since when did Disney say "meals" in lieu of "dining credits" ........ that is just strange to begin with. :confused3

Looks like Disney needs a new copy writer and/or proof reader. Between this and the summer QS meal deal brochure telling everyone who booked it that they get a dessert with their meal, whoever is doing it now is doing a pretty poor job.
