They are busy trying to figure out how Bush and the CIA bribed and cooerced all those people to act so happy. Those people's world view is so warped and bitter they just cannot assimilate what has happened. They are utterly baffled at the Iraqi people's reaction because it doesn't "fit" with their spin on who the US is (the terrible force of evil and tyranny).
