I almost forgot to mention this!

Sunday morning, my sister, race partners and I had brunch at Cape May Cafe, then went out back of the resort to cheer on the marathoners (and obviously the Goofys) who were still on course. This was not quite at Mile 25.

As I encouraged one Goofy runner, his response was "Yeah, no problem!"

At Mile 38ish in his weekend of racing, the response was "Yeah, no problem!" And not said sarcastically!

We all decided that was THE quote of the weekend! :thumbsup2

I don't know if that was one of you other crazy WISHers out there or not, but if it was, THANKS! :)

Also? Big thanks to all the marathoners and Goofys who congratulated us on our HM medals as you ran by! We all decided we're going to make a point of doing that next year when we run the full!

Ha, that's awesome. :thumbsup2

My friend carissanboys and I were cheering for the marathoners by Expedition Everest as we waited for our friend dismagiclover to come by. I never knew how much fun and how fulfilling it is to cheer other runners on, it was a great experience!!! I said GO WISH when I saw any WISH shirts. :)

And we were also so touched by the runners congratulating US when they saw our half medals. How nice can you get!!!

I also have to say that that was a great spot by EE to cheer them on. Not a lot of people were there, some CM's were doing a great job cheering though. We got to witness runners deciding to ride EE during their race! One woman was unsure about riding it...not because of the time it would take but because she was nervous about the ride itself. Her two friends said, c'mom, lets do it! And she went for it. I felt proud of this complete stranger who was running a marathon AND overcoming a fear of a thrill ride!! What a memorable experience that must have been for her!

That was a great spot. There were some guys behind us who decided to ride. I thought that was great. Hadn't even occurred to me until we were past it, but what a great race memory.

I do have to say that I appreciated everyone who cheered through both races. I especially appreciated the concern so many people showed when they saw my arm. Very sweet. I tried to make it a point to congratulate everyone I saw with a medal on, whichever medal it was. We all set out to accomplish something and we all did.

That is a funny quote. And isn't it a wonderful feeling how great the running community is that even people who are doing the longer distances realize what an accomplishment the half is for everyone. Like Rubato said - we all set out to accomplish something, we worked hard and we did it!!!! Be proud of your medal no matter if it is from the 5k, the half the full or the Goofy you went out there and accomplished something the majority of people haven't done.

My Goofy quote of the weekend was in our room when my neice said something about Goofy and I said "who's Goofy" and my neice, my sister and my husban all said at the same time "YOU ARE!!!"

I wanted to ride it too, but I got there 20 minutes too early. Next year, I figure I need to move back three or four corrals at the start. ;)
