Oh why oh why now, child??

Today my two and a half year old woke up with a bloody nose, sneezing, stuffy nose, and a slight fever. Oh joy. We leave tomorrow afternoon, driving to see the Mouse. Why now?!?! We have two days of driving (we're stopping on Tampa first) and I know she's going to be cranky and miserable.

Anything I can do to help her get better quicker? She hasn't been sick in forver and then boom! school starts and she's sick. Ugh.

We are having the same problems here, but we dont leave yet. They gave us saline for the nose, benadryl for kids, and tylenol for kids. I was worried they were going to go all swine flu psycho crazy on me, but they diagnosed both kids w/ allergies. I Would say see if you can get into your PCM b4 you leave and get some stuff for the symptoms to make your LO more comfortable for the travel.

I would take her to the dr NOW. I am not a run to the dr kinda mom but they can be sure there is nothing else going on and perhaps even give you a perscrition to take along just in case it turns into something else.

At least you are not flying and maybe she will sleep more.

This may be too late, but it's worth a shot. My friends son has the same issues right now..we are here in GA and she took him onpost to get checked out...they just told her to put a cool mist humidifier in his room at night and gave him zyrtec to take during the day. SOO if you can't get her in before you leave...I would try that. There are a lot of allergy issues going on around here right now...have her drink lots of water too! Good Luck hope all goes well with your trip..we leave the 5th..so i am hoping we all stay healthy!! UGGG

Best wishes for a swift recovery! I second the humidifier and Zyrtec, that sometimes works wonders! Hope your little one feels better soon!
