Looking for opinions on where to watch the fireworks at dhs for the best viewing? Also, I'm assuming you have to stand to see the laser part?

The best views are kind of in the middle where the stage and such usually are. So basically in front of Chinese Theater. You don't have to stand to see any of it, but most people around might be standing anyways, so you'll need to stand to be able to have a good view. Really, you want to make sure you can see the front of the Chinese Theater, as that's where most of the lasers and projections are. As long as you have a decent view of that, I think you'll be alright wherever you end up.

Right around this area they create a walkway across the plaza so no one can stand there obviously. If you can find the CMs that are directing traffic early, you'll know where it is. If you get a front row seat, no one will be standing in front of you and you'll get a perfect panoramic view.

Assuming this is the show you're talk about. This was accurate to at least a year and a half ago.

Agreed, getting up close is ideal. That way you can see everything going on. I have however been towards the back along the railing and I still saw most of it with no problem at all. Since we were against the railing with no kids behind us my husband was able to put our son on his shoulders so he could see better.

I actually think the spot is about 20-30 feet further back, but you get the idea.

The DHS Fireworks centered behind the Chinese Theater and the buildings long both sides of it. They remove the Stage and the Star War's videos are projected on the buildings in addition to the Lasers.

We like the main area looking straight at the theater. CM's will mark off areas for walkways and we always sit behind the long walkway that is marked by tape near the projection booth. Unlike at MK, the CM's keep this walkway clear, no stopping or standing there.

Once the show starts we stand right at the tape line and have great view of about 160 degrees of the show.

For me, if im not smack in the centre facing the chinese theater, I dont bother watching it. I watched once from Hollywood & Sunset Blvd, and the view was atrocious. The tree's block everything.

I sit in a wheelchair and I tried sitting in the middle and against that brick planter. The stage in the photo above is moved. The brick wall is about three feet tall and I thought I had a great view right in the center.

But what I didn't anticipate was the dessert party in that raised area. When the show started a lot of dessert guests stood on the brick wall across from me blocking my views since I was sitting. Not their fault. Some folks were further up but a few stood on the wall across from the shrubbery in the photo above.

Next time I'm going to park my wheelchair along the "T" shaped tape in the area in the photo above. The cast members tape off a walkway area to walk from one side to the other and back to the entrance. That is why it looks like a "T" shape.

I am speaking as a wheelchair user and not a standing person. Last time that I was there they said that they no longer had a handicap viewing area. Since then on the boards, I heard there might be one now, but I think that I will just get there early and find a spot along the taped lines.

Thanks, we don't have anyone that uses a wheelchair, but my Mom who is 73, has some hip issues due to scholiosis and is fairly arthritic. She walks fine (at slower speeds), but she is unable to stand without something to lean against. We typically avoid shows where we are aware that we will need to stand.

In March I was looking for a good spot to be while on an ecv. It was recommended that I sit right at the tape. We were in the middle right behind the tape. Our view was great as nobody was directly in front of us and it really wasn’t very crowded.

If i cant get a spot in the main hub (the green area on the map), i dont watch it at all. I watched from Hollywood & Sunset Blvd once and the tree's blocked everything. The view is horrible from there.
