The Radiator Springs photos are fabulous. Don't you think they would run that thing an "hour" before everyone gets there to work out all the kinks before the park opens?

I hope they go through with it and that it is added to the Studios...looks like a lot of fun.

Very much like Beaches and Cream with a car hop theme as well. I was very impressed since my first meal at the Pilots grill was rather ordinary.

It was a great meal, hot and almost like a sit down. Real silverware too!

Radiator Springs was awesome. I hope it makes it over to DHS and I hope the kinks are out of it.

I thought the same thing and probably said it out loud at one point that the RSR crew needs to get in earlier or it just needs to be posted to open later.
What really irritated me was that they did not come right out and say - " the ride is down and we will open it when it is " They just let you wait. No FP no nothing just "oh well" I was right at the car and for 30 minutes had to watch cars go by.
At least when TSM was down they announced it and said FP were not being given out until such and such a time.

ooohhh Sounds great. If you are thinking about GCV jump on that at 7months. I hear they go quick.

More like Test Track. It is an awesome ride, apart from the waiting at the start of the day.

i thought that is what you meant but I have learned not to assume.

It has hills and curves and a finish line but similar enough to test track. i would have a date night and rewatch the movies before you go. Lots of details from the movies you might overlook if if wasn't fresh in your head.

I think I worked pretty good for waiting for 30 minutes. I think throughout the day with FP and single rider I rode 5 times. I was happy with that.

The worst part was no real warning. I think there were annoucements of just a few minutes or maybe even nothing. That was the worst part. As close as I was I was not getting out of line but after seeing the cars go by over and over and over.... I almost started counting them, looking for patterns - 3 red a green and then a blue... so I just took more pictures.


It is well done. It has enough thrill for the younguns ( or those not riding ToT) without being scary ( unless they don't like the dark, Parker )
Plenty to look at that it does not get old after a few rides.
If you like the movie, you will feel like you are in the movie.
If you have never seen the movie - you will be entertained and want to see the movie.

The ONLY thing was that start up being so delayed. The First morning was Sept 28 and then I waited 30 minutes. The next time Sept 30 maybe, the resort entrance was delayed letting people in and then being further back in the line ( like 10 min further back) it was 40 minutes with no movement. That time I got out and just went for the FP, because that line was growing too.
That was frustrating. It did seem that everything at DL and CA was on "california time" or delayed at least 5-10 minutes. From rope drop, to parades, to fireworks and shows, With WDW being so precise it was a bit of a shock at DL and CA.

It would be nice to have a Carsland on this coast.

The high bridge and the waterfall is where the music changes a bit during the ride and you pick up some speed. I had a hard time getting a good picture there because the car slows then speeds up and it kind of jerks and well lets just say out of 5 rides it was hard to get one good picture.

All the Cars stuff looks fun. It will be interesting to see what parts of it we get on this coast. Whatever it is, it's going to be a hit, I'm sure. People have so much enjoyed just looking at the Art of Animation stuff, and none of that even does anything. It just sits there and looks cute. Imagine how exciting it will be to have cute Cars stuff that moves!

That is a bummer, isn't it? I don't like it when we figure out we'll miss seeing DIS friends by just a few days - or sometimes even hours. Just gotta figure with everyone's comings and goings, we'll overlap eventually.
