Oh, The Sand!

I am so sick of sweeping the kitchen floor every day and vaccuming because of all the sand that has been left behind now that the snow has melted. All the cars are covered in dust and no sooner do you wash it, it gets dusty again. Oh well, it could be worse. I could be living in Denver.

Forgive the ignorance of a southerner...why do you have a lot of sand now that the snow is melting?

DD, when we get heavy snows here the city sands the streets to prevent slipping and sliding. In addition some people put sand on their walkways for the same reason. The snow melts, your left with sand. We've had several big storms here, so lots of sand was used. Now we have sand everywhere.

LOL! I hear ya. We come in through our garage, which leads to the laundry/mud room where we leave our coats & shoes(or more often, boots). Now evertime I go in there to do laundry, I walk on dirt...no matter how ofter I clean up in there. YUK!
