My New Years resolution is to find a new job. I have been working 2 years in a place that I am in misery and dread going to work. The other problem it is part time and it is every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Only good thing is I am a stay at home dad and spending quality time with my 3 year old. Never done this with my sons from the first marriage. Well I had a second interview this week and I have to wait till next week to see if I got the job or not.  I know that if I find a new position I know that any vacation is off for this year. This job I interviewed is part time but does offer vacation time after a year, and it is Monday thru Friday. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Well my wife came home from work last night and asked if vacation was off for this year? Dreadfuly I asked why? WEll I have a convention from our food vendor at work this June, I said yea go on, well it is in a place you love, oh no go on, it is at either the Dolphin or the Swan. Now I feel ill, her company will pay for her airfare, and probably 4 nights lodging, so all we need to pay is for 3 nights lodging, my son and I airare. Oh the misery, we had 4 days left over from last year trip and I would have loved to go down. Oh well there will be other chances to go down. Thought I would share my misery.

If they offer you the job, tell them about this "already planned vacation" Tell them you will take the time off with no pay. Most places will agree to that if you tell them up front. That way you can go and have your new job.

What punkin said. :thumbsup2 Our company agrees to that all the time.
Good luck!

Sounds good if they will let me. If I give my current employer two weeks notice I will get paid 2 weeks of vacation time. That will more than make up taking off with out pay. Now all I have to do is convince my wife to go. :rotfl: Thanks for the idea :Pinkbounc
