Oh no!!!!!!

DS decided about a week ago that he DID want to ride ONE ride at Disney World (he has been recently deciding he won't ride anything with me, even Soarin!) He's been talking for a week about how he wants to ride the teacups. I told him fine, but he'd have to go without me, because mommy can't handle the spinning! Today I was looking at the WDW website and noticed the Mad Tea Party is CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT while we're going to be there! I made the mistake of telling him and now he's obsessing over it, repeating "I want teacups open!" I probably should have waited until we got there since he still has two days of school to get through before we leave. Two days til we head out........wish me luck dealing with this!

it say it closes the 26 today the 22 if you leave in two day that be th24 right so it give you at least one chance to ride it. toy story mania spins if that helps not as much as the tea cups or buzz lighter year you can make spins fast. Sorry if it dosnet help just thought mybe he like another spinning ride.

Thanks for the suggestions Unfortunately, we are taking a couple days to drive down and won't arrive until the 26th! And the other two rides he won't do because he gets freaked out by all the flashing lights, noise, etc. I appreciate the thought though!

Sorry mybe soemthings will work out like they decide to postpone the work and keep it opn a couple of days.

I wish you the best of luck. I totally understand the part about obessing over something in our house. Will hope that he gets distracted by everything else around him to perhaps keep the tea cups at bay.

We find Joshua reacts differently to rides each time we go. Some he goes on numerous times one year, then the following he doesn't seem interested.

Your DS may find he enjoys another ride(s), on his next trip.

On a side note, we also find the spinning makes us feel ill, Joshua loves it.

I just did online check-in....leaving in about 3 hours, we won't actually be AT WDW until Sunday afternoon, but definitely feeling the excitement building
Now if I can just focus enough to finish packing.......
