I decided to clean out my pant drawers. Normally I'd be happy to have done that housecleaning, but NOT today. I've been eating well and exercising for 1.5months now and have started to see some progress (though I haven't dropped a size yet), so I was starting to get delusional. Yes, delusional! I thought I would try some pants on from my skinny days. Four years ago I was a size 6/8 and so I went nuts and bought tons of jeans.

I tried them on today and now I'm soooooooooooooo discouraged!!! Somebody knock some sense into me quickly! I'm not giving up, but boy, I shouldn't have done that. I knew I wasn't close to these pants yet. A small part of me was really hoping to be in the largest of these "skinny pants" by the end of September. I'm delusional I tell you........delusional!!!!!

I know just how you feel. I lost about 25 pounds (now up to 35) and I thought that I would be down a size when I went shopping for some new clothes. I am still the same size and some of that size was still too small. I really hate women's clothes. You are not alone. I am even more discouraged since some of the clothes that I bought at Christmas are starting to feel big on my but when I go to the store to buy a smaller size they were all way too tight. You can't win.

I was once told that generally (unless it is water weight)... 1 size = 8 lbs.

My fiancee just lost 8 lbs. and actually went down one size in shirts!

He went to a local store about a month ago... and the L didn't fit him, the buttons gaped open. This time he went in and the L fit fine!!!! Mind you, he is a guy and carries all of his weight around his middle.

But, he was thrilled. He gave me a hug and thanked me for keeping him on track and introducing him to WW Online. :goodvibes That felt really good although I haven't lost as much ;)

Don't give up! Never!

You CAN do this. It is not an over night thing. It is a lifestyle change that you should work toward. When, notice I did not say if, you get into the habit of making those choices you will be proud of you!
:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
You deserve this, so keep on keepin' on.

I have found that I go down a size for about every 10 pounds. I think you can definitely be down a size by the end of September!!

I think it all depends on how you carry your weight and how much you have to loose.

Since Jan I have lost 30lbs but have *just now* been able to go down a size and some of my old size still fit though I must have looked like a rolled sausage before! :rotfl:

Congrats on the weightloss! :cheer2: I think you may be right. I'm one of those who gains weight EVERYWHERE from my face right down to my toes. Therefore, as I lose weight, I lose it everywhere, so I think it takes longer to lose a size since I'm not only losing in my waist or hips. Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support! :sunny:
