The 6yo first got it Saturday. The Mrs. came down with it Monday afternoon. At 4am, the 4yo started his puking (who knew teaching a 4 yo to puke in the toliet could be so much fun?!!!)
That leaves only one...the one who is supposed to drive everyone down to Disney on Friday!!!
Do I bite the bullet, let the kid breath all over me, get sick, and hope to get my 24-48 hours out of the way, or is that too risky?

Maybe you will not get sick?

Personally, I'd hope for the best that I wouldn't get it. Quite often I find that stomach bugs go around our family but don't hit everyone. And ironically, they seem to go around my family every time we are going to the Fort! We've had sick kids on the way down to Disney several times, and each time they have recovered and had a great trip without me getting sick.

Good luck, and I hope you have a great trip!!

I'll keep my fingers crossed that you don't get it. There is nothing worse than being sick in a campground: everyone thinks you've been up to no good. Don't ask me how I know.

Good health!

Joe

That happened to my brother's family this past December. His wife and three kids all had it the week leading up to their Disney trip, and my brother never did get it. Must be that Disney magic! pixiedust:

Hopefully, you won't get it! I certainly wouldn't make an "effort" to get it, that's for sure.

We have a thumb sucker in the family that gets everything. It's better now that she is older and more conscious of washing her hands. I can't tell you how many times we have been up all night long with her puking the night before a trip! So not fun!!!

We are at the Fort now and my GD has been sick the last 2 days, she had to leave Epcot today because shes not feeling well, not good.

Family went last January for the marathon. That was when the noro virus was making its rounds. Myself,DH,DD,DGS,DGD all got the virus with nasty stuff erupting from several orifices. My son-in-law, running in the marathon, never got it. So, RUN! Seriously, handwashing and luck. Don't worry about it. If you get sick along the way then your 4yo will have to hold your head!

I say go and stop worrying. My son got sick before we left. He was fine by the time we got there. Make sure you pack some meds!!!!!

I got it. WOW did I ever get it. The good news is that I lost 7 pounds in 30 hours. Leaves that much more room for this Fort fried chicken I keep hearing about.

Yikes! That stinks!! But at least you should be cleared up in time to leave in....what? 36 hours or so? As soon as your body can handle it, be sure to re-hydrate and get your strength back for the drive. Take it slow and easy; no sense in exhausting yourself before you even get there and not enjoying the trip. Good luck, and let us know how it goes.
