Oh NO! Grad Nights?

WAIT...There are NO FIREWORKS?! WHY NOT? we are staying at the comtemp on april 25th and wanted to watch them from our room!!!!

no!!!!:mad::headache:

There are fireworks for the Grad Night guest .. but don't count on the audio being piped into your room on the TV channel and they aren't the traditional fireworks show .. and they run considerably later than 11pm... usually after midnight.

Well, there is at least some hope that, if arriving April 22nd, that being several weeks past Easter (which sounds like a mob nightmare), the crowds will at least be manageable and we might be able to cover decent ground. I've never had to use fast pass before, but might take advantage of it this time around. Realistically I'm only hoping to show him two parks in two days, but if we just hit the headliners, we might squeeze in 3. Saturday the 23rd seems to have a very low attendance expecation (4) so that also points to low wait times.

Fingers Crossed!

Thanks for the info. I will be there from Apr. 24 to May 5. I will plan around this! Thanks!!:goodvibes

That's good to know since we'll be at BLT on May 1. We'll be at WDW during both weeks but at BWV first and move to BLT for the second week.

We were there during grad nights two years ago. I did not notice any difference in the crowds either. I just checked the park hours, because we will be there during April 23/24 grad nights, and there will be other parks open late with Evening EMH and we always go to those parks anyway at night. Also, MK will be open till 2 AM on Sunday April 25- so we'll make up time that night! I'm not worried, just excited to be going! :banana:

The Disney website just update the hours for April and they added some more SpectroMagic parades now with some nights even having two :woohoo: They also added more Fantasmic shows :tink:

Don't worry about grad nights unless you really wanted to stay late at MK on those Friday or Saturday nights. We are going to other parks those days. Last year we went during grad nights and it was also the cheerleading competition weekend. I didn't notice it at all. Teens were not bombarding the parks. It was a pleasant stay and such beautiful weather! Hope for the same this trip! :goodvibes

I have to agree. We have been during that time and Grad night was a non-issue. We did get a park hopper so we could still do MK that day and then go to another park that night.
