The kids are watching Bear in the Big Blue House and it occurred to me that Lynne Thigpen is the voice of Luna! I always knew the voice sounded familiar & figured it was her so I looked it up and it was her. 
I hope they find someone else with an equally soothing & gentle voice to play Luna now.
My daughter hates to have her hair brushed and the only way to do it peacefully is to ask her to look up and talk to Luna while I brush it. I always talk back to her as if I'm Luna and she loves it.
