Hello all,

DH and I went to WDW in May 2006. We had a great time and even enjoyed Star Wars weekends. We have planned for another visit to WDW the first of March 2007. I'm so excited about it! DH is just ho-hum. He tells me that he doesn't see how we could have fun again in such a short time frame from before. He's really not into it this time and I need to try to build up the excitement for him in order to make it a great trip for both of us! He doesn't think there will be enough to keep us busy for 5-6 days at WDW and that things won't be as fun this time around. Where is this coming from? What can I do to try and build up the excitement? What should I try to plan that would make the magic return for him?

Thanks for any and all help!

Try planning a nice, romantic dinner one night at one of Disney's nicer restaurants. Maybe you could also do one of the comedy clubs or shows on Pleasure Island too, I haven't done them, but friends have given me rave reviews. Good luck and have fun! :Pinkbounc

I go to Disney with my parents (DVC owners) at least twice a year. My DH joins us every few years when he feels he is ready for more Disney. This seems to work well for us. He is always enthusiastic when he joins us; I know he wouldn't be as enthusiastic if he accompanied me on every trip. :)

March is spring break time - so alot more people in the parks than May. No star wars weekend....

now I am going this March - but to celebrate my birthday. otherwise it is a good month to avoid.

Why don't you spice it up with a trip to US/IOA? Lots of cool rides and attractions for hubby (and you) to enjoy!

Try and sell it as a vacation, not a Disney vacation. Does he like golf? How about seeing Cirque de Soleil? There's dancing at Pleasure Island, Jellyrolls, sitting by the pool in the sun, drinking around the world at Epcot, visiting the other resorts, etc.

I've found that we can revisit often without getting bored as long as the trip isn't about hitting as many rides as possible. You may laugh, but you can easily spend a day at each park without going on a ride . . . hang out for some of the street shows at World Showcase, see the drummers at AK, look for Kudzu, if she's still around.

Segway tour or fishing excursion will do just the trip for most Non-Disney men.

My husband was a nonlover of WDW until DVC. We make our trips short and sweet, 5 days max and I let him do what he wants. If he wants to stay in the room and watch football, baseball I let him and I'll go and do some shopping w/o him. I actually prefer it that way. What will make him again become a nonlover is to make him hang out in the parks all the time. Guess what I'm saying is compromise the key!
