Oh No!!! Can't Go!!!!!

Hey out there. Our good friends had planned on going to FW for Christmas and forgot to call for their site. Now there are none left. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Short of calling every day and hoping for a cancellation? If anyone has any hints, please pass them on. They are very sad and I would love to be able to help them.

It is very disappointing isn't it? I think you have the right idea, about trying every morning and checking. A year or 2 ago someone tried to auction off their holiday reservations on Ebay.
I don't remember if anyone bought it or not.

Just keep calling. Do not hold out for "all" of the days, just ask for any of them. Then build days from there. If by a reasonalbel time you havn't collected all of the days, you can cancel what you have.

There are no real hints, just luck and persistance. Sites cancelled today are added back into the pool overnight, so calls are best made early in the morning.

We used this website once to book a campsite when we couldn't find any availablity through Disney. Like your friends we had waited too long, we had no issues with booking through that site. The deposit and cancellation policies are the same as Disney's.

Just now I searched 12/23 to 12/28 on Disney with no availabilty, but the above site had a preferred campsite available for those same dates. You won't be able to apply any discounts and there is a small service fee, but it may be better than not going at all.

A few years ago we decided in October to go to WDW for Christmas. We found that the reservations system automatically cancels out non-paid deposits at midnight. I called at 7am every morning for a week and finally got a preferred site for the entire time we wanted to go. Just keep calling first thing in the morning and hopefully something will open up.

We have to cancel our reservation (full hook-up site w/o cable),for over Christmas. I'm planning to call tomorrow.
Though we won't get to enjoy it, I'm sure it will make someone else very happy!

Have your friends keep calling, you never know when someone will cancel!
