And this really sweet lady is retiring so we're having a party with a "goodie table"! Give me the strength to avoid those home-baked cookies and cakes!

oooOOOHHHhhh....***PD*** for your strength!!! Practice the slogan: Just Say No....bring a safe snack you can gnaw on, so you won't feel so tempted!
Good Luck!

Poly Pal -

I feel for you! This week at work there have been: Krispy Kreme donuts (2 days), peanuts, chips, juices, bread pudding, cookies, and other donuts!!!! Every day there has been a lot of junk out for our meetins. Here is how I have gotten thru it:

1. Eat my oatmeal before leaving for work to give me a good start.
2. Drink a big bottle of water on my drive to work.
3. Drink the 2nd bottle of water before going to our morning meeting.
4. Refill my 1st bottle and bring it with to the meeting.
5. Bring a big baggie of baby carrots to munch on when I get hungry.

I have not had even one goodie that people brought. I have stayed true to my plan. It was hard the first day but every time I looked at a goodie I tried to think of how far I would have to work to burn the calories of the treat off. It just wasn't worth it. My co-workers are now thinking that I have the best will power. Little do they know how hard it was to say no!!!:p

Good luck,
Jen

Poly Pal, you can do it!! I know you can!! If will power doesn't work then just imagine all those "goodies" hanging off your butt, that usually does the trick for me!:p

One of my coworkers brings in treats every Friday - I have to walk past them every time I leave my cubicle! Argh. Fortunately, they're not homemade, which makes them a little easier to resist - but not completely. She also has candy on her desk that anyone can have - Reese's cups, my favorite. I've managed to resist for over two weeks (and 3 Fridays), though. Just let me get through today! :p

You can do it. Just remember that you don't want to have to come "confess" here on WISH, do you? I didn't think so ;)

Hang in there and avoid that "goody" table.
