My Mother wants to go for abrunch for easter and I am stressing.. Hope I can make some good choices...
I THINK I CAN ...I THINK I CAN... I THINK I CAN

Oh...I know how you feel! We're going to Disney for Easter & my DH made ressies at Chef Mickey's & O'Hana's for us during our stay! "I think I can't! I think I can't!!" :( :(

Good luck to you...I hate to see what I'm gonna do at those all you can eat places!! :earseek:

another one going to a brunch for Easter
we ate at the same restaurant last year and it is fabulous
so I have an idea of what kinds of food they have for me to low carb on
starting with salad and shrimp cocktail (no cocktail sauce unless I check and its low carb). They will have soup probably will not have it will check the kinds.
They have two or three kinds of carved meat lamb (will not eat) prime rib and ham will have both of them
they will have some sort of pasta which I will skip and stick with the veggies
trying to convince myself I should have a cup of decaf coffee instead of dessert??? don't know how that will work out though
good luck to everyone

If you're not sure how to make it through, promise yourself that your first plate of food will be on plan. Fill up on the low-carb stuff available. Then, if you decide to splurge a little, you won't have room to do too much damage. :p

That's a great idea DoeWDW! Thanks!! I for one will try that since I really don't want to regain what I've lost so far.

I like your idea, too, Doe. I'll be eating out from Wed til Mon since we are visitng our daughter in Wisconsin. There is some hearty eatin' up north! I guess we'll skip the Friday Night Fish Fry! :)

No doubt about hearty eatin' up north! I'm in Minnesota, currently home on break from school, and I am eating out almost every day this week! (People really do focus too much on food, why is that all we can do when we go places?) I think people feel the need to eat more in the north so we have a good solid layer of insulation or something... All I know, is that my goal is to NOT fit in! Good luck this week to all...my family left me for Easter, and I'm working extra hard to stay away from the deadly Easter "basket" my mom left me...who said that I needed Girl Scout cookies and Oreos? Or chocolate truffles? Jellybeans I can hack...they are not as bad as everything else!
