We have ressies for Pop Century in November. My friend found out we were going and offered me her timeshare points that expire this year. So we are now going to be staying at Bonnet's Creek. I'm excited about this and very appreciative of my friend's generosity. I've never stayed off-site for a trip longer than one night (spend the night, drive to parks, go home from parks). I have heard the bus schedule isn't very convenient, so we may consider driving to the parks each day.

Questions for those that have stayed there - what's it like? Is it nice? Anything we should know before going?

We may end up buying APs since we are planning another trip next year as well. That would also give us free parking during out stays.

Any advice? You can't buy a dining package from an offsite hotel, can you?

you can't buy a dinning package from WDW with an offsite hotel.

can't do EMH, DME, WDW transportation (okay from park to park you can - if you have park hoppers), no charging on your Key at WDW.

for free this is a good deal. just don't buy here!!!

bonnet creek has full kitchens in the rooms, so you can eat there. you can rent a car, since you have no hotel cost, and use it to go grocery shopping and drive to the parks. you would have to pay to park, but 10 a day isn't too bad, when you aren't paying for the room. bonnet creek is awesome. you also have a washer dryer and jacuzzi tub in your room, it is awesome!!

We are driving down from SW Georgia, so we'll have a car. Hadn't thought about the kitchens...that's an idea to save money. Hadn't thought about spending some days over in Universal either, until now. Hmmmm, I have some planning to do!

Lucky you!! I have heard it is very nice and would like to stay there myself. Have a great trip.

We stayed at Bonnet Creek in Dec. and loved it. It's so close to the parks, but nice and spacious, really a beautiful resort.

We had a car, but still took the shuttle to the parks on a few days. Then we took a cab back to the resort. That way we didn't have to pay for parking. I think the cab ride was about the same price.

We definitely used the kitchen. They even had a grill outside of our building.
