Soooo yesterday I got a call from Make A Wish saying that Erics wish is being granted. :wizard: Whats his wish??? duh!! Its Disney World!

Now, none of us can think of anything else. :woohoo: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2: :yay:
This call came the day befor school started so you can imagine how well he paid attention. LOL

So now we have exactly one month to prepare for our trip! :surfweb:

So here is the cast

Myself...Im a wifey and mommy. Im a Parent Liason Coordinater for special education in WI.

My Hubby.... he is a mechanical engineer. He is playing it cool like he isnt excited. But I know... I know :rolleyes1

Brandon..my oldest son 19, he is sooo excited about going to the Animal Kingdom. He was at disney a few years ago but got hurt at the Indiana Jones Stunt Show and had to have a dozen stitches and spent the rest of the trip drugged on paid meds. So he is ready to do it right this time.

Austin .. he is a 14 year old genius. He is excited about Epcot. He is a technology buff.

Eric.. He is the wish child. He just turned 11 and is a sweetie that loves everyone. He was born with severe heart disease and lung disease. During one of his 3 open heart surgeries he suffered a stroke leaving his without use of his right arm. He has more heart surgeries to go so we decided to make the trip while he is doing well.

Well thats all of us. One excited family who cant wait for a week of fun and nooooo Dr visits. YAY :grouphug:

Oh and I forgot to mention. Erics wish is actually to be a prince! so just wait for the Pics. Its going to be great.

I need advice. What to expect and how to prepare for a trip like this. I feel soooooooooo overwhelmed! :scared1:

How exciting!!

Have you bought the Unofficial Guide to WDW resorts...or something like that. It is a very full book. But half of it addresses hotels and such...and we don't have to worry about that! So it won't be as much to read. Does Eric use a wheelchair? For long distances?

I can't wait for pics!

Have you guys ever been to Disney world? I have been multiple times, but this is the first time for Lauren and William. :) And the first time they will get to fly!

Since you guys are not staying at GKTW, then it is possible that we will be staying at the same place. They have put us in a handicapped room, actually 2 rooms since there are 5 of us (with roll in shower) at the Contemporary Resort. They did have us staying at another resort, but changed it to get Lauren a roll in shower. Lauren and I will stay in one room so that I can take care of her at night and get her ready in the AM and the rest of the family will stay in the room next door to us. :)

So...how are they going to make him a prince? :) I can't wait to see.

Are you guys going to the Mickey Not So Scary Halloween Party? We are going on Tuesday night. Lauren has a Hannah Montana makeover on Tuesday, so we thought that would be cool...she can go dressed as Hannah Montana.

We are going to be there at the same time! :) How fun.

I am going to go to borders and buy that guide because I am a planner and really am having a hard time letting make a wish plan it all for me. LOL I know I should just sit back and enjy but its soooo hard.

I think its awesome to meet someone that is going to be there at the same time as us. Hopefully we will get to meet up.

Eric does use a wheelchair for distance and Im a little worried about that at Disney. Im worried the comments we will get with front of the line access when people see him get out of the chair. I know I shouldnt care, but I do.

So far I belive they said they are putting us up at the Animal Kingdom lodge.

Im not sure about mickeys not so scary halloween yet. I emailed give kids the world to see if that would be included to see if I should buy the tickets myself now but I havent got an answer yet. I really want to do it.

Well I better head out I have meetings all day today.
