I can hardly contain myself EVERYONE who knows us knows we are going to be on our way in two weeks. So much to do. I need to get a real spare tire, shorts, shoes, hotels, food, dining, oh I think I might explode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK so the count down begings. Any tips? My oldest son will be home the house is taken care of.
How much cash do we realy need "in" DL. Travelers checks? Or just Credit Card?
What about dinning. How can I reserve rainforest cafe? How hot will it be in a few weeks. Any one have any idea about Gas going through Oregon....Pay with travlers check or what?


And the mansion is going!! it was closed the only other thine my Dear Hubby and Kids were there.

I would bring some cash with you. Most places in the park with take a credit or debit card. But, you'll want cash for outdoor vending carts (drinks, snacks, popcorn). You will also want a bit of cash for tipping the hotel staff and that type stuff.

Gas through Oregon is great- they pump for you! We usually pay with our debit card. I'm sure travelers checks would work as well.

You need shoes? You better get those today and wear them every day. You dont want to break in new shoes in the park. Your feet will hurt! Buy shoes with plenty of room in them. I bought nike walking shoes and they were HORRIBLE. There were too close fitting to allow for feet swollen from travel. My keds work great. I have some crocs for this trip. Ugly, but super comfortable.

Weather should be pretty warm. I'll be there the week after you. Average temps are 60's at night and 80's during the day (from weather.com).

Well Just look for the REALLY excited group of 4. My kids are afraid I will embarass them. (they will have fanny packs on what more damage can I do? )


We are making reservations at rain forest for Sunday at 6pm I think.

Thanks I will do that today! And I'm getting the lime green Mickey too! My DH thinks I'm just a bit on the over board side. Just wait till we get there, he will be too!

It's getting so close!! I know how excited you have been, and YES, you can start packing!! I do it early all the time, then I just pack and re-pack until I get it perfect but it helps time go by!!!

Your right and you have been such a help. As others. Today here is what I got done:
Got Travelers checks....we will be gone from home 2 weeks
bought extra socks and unders for the sake of laundry washing (or not wanting to so much) and a few tank tops ect....
Shopped for the sunscrean and such..
MADE RAIN FOREST RESERVATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Sunday the 22nd @ 4:30 pm)

Got the lime green Mickeys!
Printed out the Trip Tick
and finished the last cake order before we go (I design & decorate cakes. Last order goes out in the am!)
Got Locks for the suitcases.....You never know at hotels if the maids are honest or not.
Now I'm making my "Food to pack for the road" list...
Any suggestions?
Tomorrow is START PACKING!!!!!!!!
Any advice?

Oh my goodness everyone!! I really didnt know how close I was to leaving. I have nothing done!! I do however have a box of honey bunches of oats banana snack bars, I got on sale a week ago. I put up, to pack, so I could have something to nosh on in the mornings. But, it happened, I actually looked at my ticker, 11 days until!!!!

I have so much to do. I am leaving the kids, with grandma, and grandpa. And my husband and I are heading to cali. He will stay in hollywood, and I will go to DL !! But, I have to pack the kids 5 days worth of clothes, I have to pack my clothes, and hubbies, because he is so forgetful. Oh my goodnessss 11 days!! Woohoo!!

I do have a ressie at Blue Bayou, thanks to my sweet Disbuddy Matterhorn. Who told me to get a monte cristo!

But, I don't even have a set touring plan yet.
